StanFear
Hey everyone, I must admit, I never used a 3rd party program that gives you the current cycle of the altering cave, why ? -> they all are too big, and I can't stand to have half of my screen hidden from me, and I'm just too lazy to turn my head and look at my other screen ! so I decided to developpe a small program to show me the cycle in my playing area ! What it does : show the current cycle give informations about the pokemons from this cycle tells you how much time before the next cycle begin can be moved all around your screen What it have more than the others : very esealy updatable : the data (pokemons from each Cycles are stored into a XML file, only this file need to be updated when cycles will change (they will right ?) 400x100 pixels => Very non obtrusive !! What it can't do : can't run on Mac OS (yeah sorry ... or maybe with mono ? if you know what you do, you can try !) show all the others cycles (planned in a futur update) coffee screanshots : Last Update : Version 1.03 now Have options : use animated pictures or not / set the refresh interval (from 0.1 sec to 10 sec) Download link : The Program - the font the source How to use : Extract, make sure the ressource folder is near the executable, launch the .exe, and Enjoy if you want to have the same font I do, just download it, double click the font and select install, you're done ! Data are from here, if non correct, thank's to notify me, I'll make an update ! Changelog : Version 1 : - initial release Version 1.01 : - fixed the bug where pictures were not updating on cycle change Version 1.02 : - Now gives the righ cycle no matter which TimeZone you\'re in Version 1.03 : - added options to use animated sprits or not - added option to set the refresh interval (for slow PC) --------------------------------------------- PandyBear and Greskull 2 Link to comment
XelaKebert
Your timing is off. Granted my computer is not set to GMT though. However, a comparison to ProfessorElderberry's app shows that you may have your times mixed up somewhere. Link to comment
StanFear
I will add an option to set the timezone and I will also upload the font I used ! Link to comment
StanFear
Updated the tool, should now be good with the timezone ! (and therefor, the timing should be good) Link to comment
XelaKebert
All good here. Matches up with the correct cycle. Link to comment

RoarArrogance
Yes, it's helpful BUT (these are just things that I think could be worked on) 1. The little app takes away 20FPS from me for some reason. 2. Give me an option to turn that animation off with the moving Pokemon, that is nice but to me makes it a little obnoxious. 3. It crashed my PC. No dump file, no crash report. Just a straight up Blue screen Link to comment

ppvsonicspy
Ok this might seem like a stupid question but, what are cycles? Link to comment
StanFear
Ok this might seem like a stupid question but, what are cycles? in the altering cave (island 6 If I remember well) there are different pokemons depending of the time, One cycle is six hours IRL and 1 day IG pokemons are different but match a pattern, they change with each cycle. CodyMKW
This looks pretty useful I am gonna try it out! Thanks for making it :) Link to comment
