I think I missed smt here... So you are proposing a method for farming a single TM that would take the same amount of time as doing an alt run, in which you get not only all TMs as you stated, but also the move tutors and one time pokes?
But hey, know what? Lets make it even better. Lets force people to spend a good 2-3 hours smashing buttons at the casino so that they can get the Eevee they`d get in 20 minutes doing an alt run!
Now seriously, if you want to create a method that would encourage people to stop making alt runs, this method would need to be MORE effective than the one you want to replace...

Dont get me wrong. I do like the idea, but keep in mind how long it takes to complete a full alt run when setting the `drop` percentages. If it takes over half an hour to get one, then you are just encouraging people to keep creating alts because it will still be more eficient.

You're talking about how things are now, with an incomplete game, it won't be in the future.

If you'd like, they could turn random battles back on and turn that two hour alt run into a two day run.

You have to think of TMs as a supplement to farming, not the primary source of moves. Read my EQ/DC example.

gonna necro this old thread..

 

why not just make all tms available from GC? I know that the dev. team has plans to make either craftable tms or have them looted through the pickup ability, but why not just make them available at the casino temporarily while these things are still in the making. Still seems better than having people endlessly alt-run to get more tms and it seems like it could easily be implemented/disabled as necessary.
