[Assistance] gengar attack

Recommended Posts

I have a new gengar that I bred naive with 28/31/31/29/19/31
I noticed with my last one that it learns belly drum in the 90s lvl somewhere

Possible moves
WOW
Substitute
Focus punch
Shadow ball with split evs

All attack evs with
Sub
brick break
Belly drum
Shadowpunch

I can see painsplit as viable but I would rather use that with a bulkier gengar
Any help would be appreciated evs moves etc
Thanks

For a mixed Gengar, Naive is not the best nature, since Hasty makes you lose less stats. For a subpunch set, the most effective would be Substitute-Disable-Focus Punch-Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt. It is a great answer to Curse Snorlax and to many other pokemon that can only hit Gengar with one move, and this includes everything that is banded, of course.

For Hasty, I would invest enough speed to outspeed jolly Flygon, maximize the attack to really threaten normal types and OHKO Houndoom, and the rest in the already high special attack to add damage to your special attack choice.

b drum gar should not be possible

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Belly_Drum_%28move%29

so this is a bug. for b drum gar sets i would suggest sub + bdrum + brick break + shadow punch with salac berry. gar is immune to fight/normal so mach/quick attack/e speed wont touch it. that being said i highly doubt belly gar will not get banned due to the bug.
