well yeah there are multiple pokemon that can survive a +6 attack from linoone, but most of them either a) get worn down throughout the match and therefore cannot take on linoone as a late game sweeper or b ) cannot ko linoone with any of their moves before linoone can 2hko them

Yeah, but scizor can take all the attacks Linoone can use against it decently and retaliate...something that others as you said can't do

Anyway, having to resort to it to stop Linoone is centalizing, so i'm up for banning it

The UU Council has decided to ban Linoone to BL (or in the case of PokeMMO to OU).

We feel like Linoone is banworthy under the Offensive Characteristic as it is able to sweep most of the meta without too much trouble.

Setting up with belly drum and making use of sitrus berry isn't too difficult to pull off, while when this happens theres less than a handful of pokemon that even come close to checking it let alone counter it.
