Wild battle showing the wild pokemon IV.

Recommended Posts

Everyone those days are proclaiming about money sink, and you want to know what is a money sink? Wild battles, correct you read, wild battles, whant to know why? Because the IV's of the wild pokemon isn't showed to us. And thats my suggestion, there's any way this can be showed at the moment the wild battle starts? Mainly because, imagine how many good Iv pokemon you run from because you have to capture to know the EV. With this breed you bee alot of easier to do cause we will capture every and all good ev pokemon that jump in to us. Please, can the community support this idea? Cause to me makes total sense sinse this is a mmo and pokemon are our tools, we should know the IVs of the wild before runing or fainting them.

The devs would not want a money sink as they want us to suffer, no surprise or effort put into getting a good IV pokemon, the economy would be destroyed, players would keep disregarding bad IV pokemon, for teams like xTEN (not sure of any others) which have divisions/collector division, it wouldn't be fun as everyone would get good, people wouldn't make the RNG jokes about RNG hating them, which are honestly kinda funny, comp would just break entirely, eventually you'd get annoyed that you can't find a pokemon with good IVs, but with a surprise you still have hope.

TL;DR - NO.

How exactly?

Which MMOs have you played that tell you what weapons a creature is holding before you kill it (and thus not consuming potions fighting it - or in our case use balls to catch it) and the stats that they have?

This suggestion would only result in people only catching things that are they would profit/benefit from catching and not catch anything they didn't.

Less balls would be thrown - which in turn means less balls are purchased, throwing the economy out of whack due to an ineffective sink/everybody always profiting from catches.

Players would then also feel like they were wasting their time encountering things that didn't have good IVs - afterall "Why not just force all wild encounters to have good IVs? It's not like we'll catch the bad ones anyway".

It's a nice suggestion as far as player convenience is concerned, but would have a terrible impact on the overall stability of the game.
