Dudders
Greetings all! I am creating a visual guide to the Gym Leader Rematches. Currently, we are working on the Kanto Region. If your Gym Leader variation differs from this guides, please share your results in this thread and I will update the guide with your Gym Leaders team variation. Any new data discovered in the future will be noted and updated within this post. Within this guide, you'll see the Gyms City Name, the Gym Leaders Name, their Pokemon Team Variation number, and the Pokemon they use (in order from 1-6, in sync with their Pokeball order). You will also see the Prize Money payout at the bottom of each picture. FAQ: What am I looking at? Spoiler Each Pokemon will have the following displayed (if known): Name Gender Level Ability Item Known Move Pool/List Type Weakness/Resistance/Immunity Notes* (*The Notes category will display useful information obtained via battling that specific Pokemon.) What's this "Variation Number"? Spoiler As it turns out, after initially posting my guide, other community members thankfully let me know that their Gym Leaders had different Pokemon than I mentioned with the guides list. With their help, it was determined that there are different variations of the Gym Leaders, so as of now I have decided to list Gym Leaders with a variation number on a first post first serve basis. Sadly, this means you may not know which Gym Leader Variation you're fighting right off, only time will tell how many and how different the variations are. If your Gym Leaders Team Variation isnt listed, you can help the community out by posting your Gym Leaders Pokemon information from your battle in this thread, and I will do my best to update everything when I can. Thanks for your understanding, and hopefully, together, we can complete this guide! Hopefully you find this guide useful and effective in making the Gym Leader Rematches less difficult. (Leaving a like would be a great way to let me know that this guide is being used, and may further encourage completing the other regions as well as other rematches) Kanto Region: Pewter City - Brock: Spoiler Brock Variation 1: (Aerodactyl, Slowbro, Ninetales, Heracross, Rampardos, Steelix) Spoiler Cerulean City - Misty: Spoiler Misty Variation 1: (Pelipper, Floatzel, Ampharos, Starmie, Gyarados, Milotic) Spoiler Vermilion City - Lt. KOHHuiXIN
This guide looks pretty, amazing if you have time it would be even better to have the route to the gym leaders as well, some of the puzzles are troublesome to remember. Dudders 1 Link to comment
Staggiie
Oh, nice idea! Their teams are completely different for me though when I battle them from what you currently have here. For example: When I fight Erika, she has a multiscale Dragonite. And Blaine has a scarfed Houndoom with HP Ice (rip my Flygon...we found that out the hard way) and he also has a Moltres. I 100% remember those for sure! But some stuff is the same like your Sabrina team is exactly what she has when I fight her too. So I dunno why there are differences between players. Maybe what team they will have depends on how many times you've beaten the Elite 4 in that region (?) but I don't know for sure. I just know when I did gym runs on my alts (where I only defeated the E4 once) they had different mons from when I fought them on my main character (where I've defeated the E4 4+ times). Like, Blaine had a scarfed Charizard when I fought him on one of my alts....but he never has it when I fight him on my main. Link to comment
Dudders
Interesting, I didn't know it could be different like that. I think my Elite 4 count is at 3 wins, I'll have to go again and see if it matches your gyms 'mons. This guide may have a lot more data to collect than I thought. :o Link to comment
SodaNaranja
@Dudders Just to let you know you repeated Vermilion Gym on the Cerulean one! Nice guide, hope to see it finished! Dudders 1 Link to comment
Dudders
Thanks! Will fix that now. Edited December 21, 2017 by Dudders Link to comment
YettoDie
The teams of gym leaders are randomized, there is a certain amount of different teams. Besides that note, the information you've given sure is useful. Dudders 1 Link to comment
Dudders
Darn, hate that it's randomized. If the randomization combination is relatively small, I could do sheets for each lineup, but I fear I may never find out ALL the combinations of Pokemon. Link to comment
semjon
Asap I do my next run, I'll check the differences and post them. Good idea for this guide, so I hope you'll get all the informations about the different teams. Dudders 1 Link to comment

Johnnicles
There is definitely a variable at work with what Pokes you run into. I agree with my bud @Staggiie and think that it depends on what "set" of the e4 you're on. I.E., not having beat lvl 90 E4 will make all the gym leaders in that region have diff pokes than if you HAVE beat the lvl 90 E4. I still haven't beaten lvl 90 E4, so I'll try to beat that and then lvl 100 (God help me) and post my results. Staggiie and Dudders 2 Link to comment

But after I beat Unova Elite 4 x4 times, they changed to what they are now and havent changed any since then. Here's my Instance Info crap if that matters. I'm not sure if that's what makes gym teams change but I'm highly inclined to believe so. Sorry if I'm wrong. I havent beaten lv. 100 E4 anywhere tho so I'm wondering IF I do, would that change my gym rematches or naw. I kinda wanna test it buuuuut...I don't like lv. 100 E4, it kicks my ass lol Dudders 1 Link to comment
