It doesn't matter. Alcohol is illegal in about 20ish countries worldwide, that doesnt mean we should all never mention alcohol and/or be punished for it :'). You simply cant debate the problem here based on legality, its stupid. The age thing is also nonsense, considering you have literal casinos ingame. Where i live, we cant even enter casinos under the age of 21. So no, that is also not a valid argument. And mentioning something being the same as advertising or promoting is one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. Yea, this is bullshit. Yea, multiple members of my team have received mutes for this as well, despite nothing about this being mentioned in the rules. I then had a discussion about it with a certain staff member (i think most of u can guess which one), who tried to argue the subject based on legality, which is stupid and irrelevant. The term "drug" is way too broad to moderate and imo staff should leave it alone. You legit cant make a logical case for "im gonna smoke some weed" being punishable and "im gonna drink a beer" being fine, yet this is exactly how its being handled rn. edit: I've now seen the reaction in the other thread that was linked, i would like to add that the 2 quotes from the CoC Bear posted have NOTHING to do with chatting about drugs. We aren't stupid, we can read and understand whats in there and what isn't. ps: to that staff member, im doing you a favor by not naming names, so dont delete this, thank you.

Volt Switch works perfectly fine for anyone who's not an NPC. For some reason it doesn't function properly for NPCs, but since you think the game is already too difficult, i dont see why you'd think this is problematic. Sweet Scent costs PP because it's used for shinyhunting, it prevents you from spamming sweet scent for free and is pretty necessary in an MMO format. That being said, I'm in favor of some sort of more logical spending of the sweet scent PP, such as 3 PP for a 3 mons horde, 5 for a 5 mon horde etc. Covet and Thief also work fine, it just forces you to get a little creative with what mon you use to thief. If you could just use a powerful level 100 mon, you'd be able to farm forever and that would decrease value of these items. I have 5 mons with thief/covet, each with their own level/ability (damp for example), because different items require a different approach. There's no problem here. Macho brace is the item that gives you bonus EVs, i have no idea why you would even want specific items for each stat when this exists. As far as breeding goes, what you are describing is basically cloning instead of breeding, I dont think I need to explain to you why this is a bad idea in an MMO. big smh

Still, there's something to this. I've had breeds where the moveset cost me more than the actual mon, and i dont think thats a good thing. Maybe TMs should be cheaper or smth, idk.

If i were in your shoes i'd probably do the same. When you get targeted so much to the point where you don't feel like you can talk and be yourself in any public chat, that would kill the game for me too. People like Malorne who say things like "oh well dont say stuff that gets you banned then" clearly have no clue about whats been going on. Sadly, the poll shows that there are a lot of people like that. In my opinion, the problem with staff isn't located with the lower ranked ones. I don't think there's a single CM not doing a good job. The higher in the hierarchy, the worse it gets. There is no consistency there, context is something they refuse to acknowledge and transparency about how they work/who did what is something that is non-existent here. I'll give the example of my most recent mute (which was a few months ago, so dont tell me i need to behave more). First i got muted for 10k seconds for "harassment", i was told to talk to an SGM. After I did that, suddenly my mute got changed to 40k seconds and "racism" was added to the reason. I then had to find the SGM in question (because transparancy is zero, so you have to talk to basically all of them). The SGM then sent me about 50 sentences that were supposedly breaking the rules, we had to go through all of them only to come to the conclusion that there was no racism and I was right all along. Instead of then admitting the staff was wrong, they phrased it like i somehow "owned up to my mistakes" and the mute got reversed back to 10k seconds. It's this type of moderating that leads to frustration and a complete lack of trust in these staff. The fact that someone like @Dibz is apparently not good enough, but you have 2 objectively horrible, bad people as highranking staff is another reason why a part of this community is absolutely done with staff. That being said, goodbye Petard, it was very nice meeting you. It's always nice to interact with people that aren't basically NPCs.
