I also tried to incorporate a lot of elements from the actual games to spice things up :P [spoiler] ~Mt.Silver~ Josh: NO! WATCH OUT! Josh runs to defend his severely wounded ESPEON after being mauled by a rampaging URSARING. Josh: What’s wrong with you? Someone steal ol’ Pooh bear’s honey? The enraged, wild Pokemon charges at the trainer. Josh: Oh Shii— ???: PIDGEOT! SKY ATTACK! The wild URSARING was knocked out cold by the pokemon swooping down from the heavens. ???: Hey! Numbskull! Don’t be provoking wild pokemon or next time you will be that bear’s toothpick! Josh: First off, I needed the training. Second, that bozo was looking at me funny! ???: Whatever…Smell ya la- Josh: Wait!! That catchphrase...Your Blue! You’re the former champion that only lasted a day! Blue: That's me. Ive moved on to bigger and better things, considering I have my own gym in Viridian. Josh: Well, that guy you called a “numbskull” is actually the reigning champion for your information. Blue: YOUR'RE THE CHAMPION? I HAD NO IDEA THE POKEMON LEAGUE BECAME SUCH A JOKE! Josh: In the flesh bud and no, it wasn’t a joke. It was just easy for a trainer of my caliber. Blue: …. Your nothing like…. HIM…. Josh: Well… I did last more than a day for your information. Blue: ENOUGH! A trainer that loses to wild pokemon does not have what it takes to be a true champion! It isn’t possible for someone as naïve as you to hold that title! Prove to me that you deserve that title and face me! Josh: Hate to break it to ya’ Blue… But my pokemon are tuckered out from training and being harassed by rampant bears. Blue: I guess I was right.... You’re no champion after all… Josh: I’ve heard you were annoying, but I never thought u were THIS annoying! Blue: As the viridian city gym leader I’ll give you an offer you can’t refuse. If you defeat one of my pokemon, not only will you be recognized of defeating my gym, you will also receive the Earth badge and the TM that goes with it. Josh: What’s the catch? Blue: You have to battle me right here, right now and if you lose, you have to step down as champion. Josh smirks as he reaches for his pokeballs. Josh: Piece of cake. My remaining 3 versus your 1. You’re on! Blue: Did I forget to mention no items? Josh: Dangit. Not as easy I thought but, I still accept! Blue: What are you waiting for? BOTH: BATTLE! Blue: I can only choose one pokemon so…..GO ARCANINE! Josh: Nice choice! Good thing my best pokemon is a Water type! GO FERALIGATR! Blue: If I had a dollar for every time I heard a trainer bragging about his starter pokemon I would be rich. Josh: Whatever, FERALIGATR! WATERFALL! Blue: ARCANINE! THUNDER FANG! Josh: THUNDER FANG!? Oh, crap! Wait..Why didn’t my waterfall do massive damage to your ARCANINE? Blue: It's called intimidate. When ARCANINE steps onto the field, your pokemon lose attack power. I must say, you're pretty stupid considering you're the champion. Josh: FERALIGATR can’t take another THUNDER FANG….Return! FERALIGATR! GO! DRAGONITE! Blue: I’ll just take this time while you switch to use MORNING SUN! Josh: grrr…(this is a lot harder than I expected..) DRAGONITE! DRAGON CLAW! Blue: Hit him with a TOXIC, ARCANINE! Josh: You’re going to toxic stall me aren’t you? Blue: what are you going to do about it, champ? Josh: This! DRAGONITE! DRAGON CLAW! (Dragonite …. I believe in you buddy! Hit him where it hurts! You can get that CRITICAL HIT!) The monotony continues with a spectacle of blazing suns and ferocious claws being swung. DRAGONITE starts to fatigue from the poison as ARCANINE stands majestic without a scratch on the beast’s body. Blue: Tsk, Tsk…. Relying on luck to defeat me? How naïve can you be? Is that really how you got this far? You’re pathetic Josh… Letting your own pokemon faint slowly and painfully. You don’t have any love for your pokemon. I was like you… until an old friend opened my eyes… I believe in my pokemon now thanks to him. It’s the reason why a naïve trainer like you will never win against me! Josh: I’m nothing like you! Now, stop lecturing me and fight, old man! Blue: Whatever you say. ARCANINE! Put that poor pokemon out of its misery. THUNDER FANG! Josh: DRAGONITE! Return! I’m sorry buddy…. You’re going to pay for that one blue! GO! AERODACTYL! Blue: You don’t learn do you? You’re doing great ARCANINE! Keep it up with another THUNDER FANG! Josh: Not so fast! AERODACTYL! PROTECT! Blue: Delaying the inevitable? Oh well… Keep hitting him with THUNDER FANG! Josh: FLY, AERODACTYL! Blue: More evading, Josh? Does this have to do with what happened to DRAGONITE? The battle continues with AERODACTYL flying through the air and protecting each time ARCANINE comes close. ARCANINE’s thunder fang attack glows far stronger than the previous fight with DRAGONITE. Unfortunately for our hero, ARCANINE finally lands an effective hit on AERODACTYL. Josh: You did what you had to do…AERODACTYL….Return… Blue: Hahahaha! It looks like our champion has fallen! Send out your weak starter and let’s end this. I’m growing tired and want to go home. I’ve had enough of you. Josh grins Josh: I’ll gladly end this! GO! FERALIGATR! WATERFALL! Blue: You know what to do ARCANINE! Hit him with another THUNDER FANG! FERALIGATR manages to hit ARCANINE but is fatally wounded from a thunder fang. FERALIGATR then falls to the ground defeated. Blue: It must really be embarrassing. The champion taken down by an opponent with one pokemon…. Heck, I also used only one move! FERALIGATR struggles but manages to stand back up. Blue: Just end the battle. I don’t want to hurt your pokemon anymore. Face it, even if thunder fang misses, another WATERFALL won’t defeat my ARCANINE. Josh: ….That’s where you’re wrong… Blue: You’re delusional. Finish this ARACANINE. End him with a final THUNDER FANG. ARCANINE clenches its teeth together; trying to create sparks but surprisingly fails. Blue: ARCANINE! What’s wrong?! Josh: It’s tired of doing that move Blue. It can’t use it anymore. Blue: What! Josh: You’re not the only one that can use abilities. Remember my AERODACTYL? He has an ability called PRESSURE. It makes it so pokemon that attack him use up more of their energy. I used it to drain away the one move that can affect FERALIAGTR! Am I as naïve as you thought I was Blue? Blue grins Blue: It was a clever strategy. It’s a shame your precious FERALIGATR still can’t KO my pokemon. Give up! Josh: I’ll never give up! FERALIGATR and I have been through too much to throw everything away! Now it’s my turn to lecture you Blue. Being a pokemon trainer isn’t about obtaining a title or the fame that comes with it. It isn’t about being the champion! It’s about the adventure! Its about the people and pokemon you meet! Being a strong trainer isn’t about training, or strategy or how much you say you “love” your pokemon. It’s about the bond you share! Me and FERALIGATR’s bond is unbreakable! That’s what makes us powerful and that’s why we are going to beat you! FERALIGATR’s body begins to emit a brilliant blue aura. His eyes glow red as his trainers words reach him. Blue: What’s happening!? Josh: It’s FERALIGATR’s ability Torrent. We get stronger when we are close to being defeated! Now FERALIGATR! Finish him with WATERFALL!!! Blue: This battle just got a whole lot more interesting! Let’s give him our all! ARCANINE! FLARE BLITZ! The two Pokemon collide with a dazzling display of water and fire. Both pokemon giving their all despite the condition they are in. Josh: FERALIGATR you can’t give up now! Steam erupts from the collision engulfing the entire battlefield in a dense fog. A chilling silence falls as the trainers are eager to see the results. The fog settles…. Blue: I don’t believe it.. The battlefield is withered with flames and puddles. FERALIGATR kneels on one knee next to his defeated opponent ARCANINE. Josh: FERALIGATR! You did it! The trainer rushes to hug his adored pokemon before returning him to his pokeball to rest. Blue: Well, as promised, here is the Earth badge and TM 92. You deserve it Josh. You gave me an interesting battle and taught me something new. What are you going to do now that you have defeated all the gyms in Johto and Kanto? Josh: I’m gonna’ scale mt. Silver for any rare and legendary pokemon. Blue: Oh really? Well, I can tell you something very legendary is atop this mountain. I wish you the best of luck. Smell ya later!............ champ! Blue gives a friendly smile as he flies away on his PIDGEOT. Blue: (You better watch out…the new champion is coming for you….Red) ~End~ [/spoiler]
