GTL Problems

Making "oldest" the default is an awful idea. Not only does it make the market appear dead, but the majority of the listings with only a day remaining have been set at unreasonable prices and shouldn't be constantly thrown at potential buyers when there is only a small chance that anyone will want them. If something is listed at a silly price that prevents it from being sold, it's up to the seller to adjust their prices if/when they list it again after it inevitably expires, not for the system to cater to their poor decisions and/or increase the chance that they'll be able to rip someone off with their perhaps intentionally overpriced goods. Making oldest the default would also make it more difficult to make a quick sale. Showing the newest listings however makes the market appear far more lively and is more likely to show the user something that would catch their interest, as well as encouraging smart/fair pricing. "Newest" is the healthier option overall.
6. I'm rather fond of this Houndoom for its ability to be an all-around nuisance.

7. Currently you can trap yourself by trading away a Pokemon with a move that you need to get back to a town. It's hard to do that without thinking of the consequences though, and uncommon as you have to actually meet with a player to do it. Mailing that Pokemon away would be a lot easier to do without thinking as it's instant and you're more likely to be put in a position where you've lost the Pokemon you need for travel as you're in a remote location and the other player doesn't need to be. Currently it's not an issue that comes up often at the moment, it's more a question of if it's worth making that a more common situation in exchange for allowing players to mail away Pokemon in their current party from their secret base. /unstuck shouldn't be considered in game design as it's purely a debug command and not a feature. It's not as well known as it used to be either, the majority of newer players would be unaware of its existence altogether as it's not advertised anywhere, worth using for personal convenience due to the timer, or needed often as the game is a lot more stable than it was in the beginning.
8. I imagine that this would be perfectly fine and quite convenient. Sending Pokemon attachments should probably be restricted to actual PCs due to how easy it is for a player to trap themselves without certain HM moves, but it's not something that would happen often. The pros and cons of that would have to be weighed up, but the idea's quite good in and of itself.
9. Attaching a cost to moving your base doesn't resolve the issue either and comes with its own problems. It discourages moving your base if you find a better location than the one you already had, which affects storyliners as they discover new locations. More importantly though, it turns a large team/friend list into a huge advantage as you'll have free access to the base PCs of all of them while they're online. The price of moving your base would only really affect players with a small team/friend list, and as a result, people would likely start "selling" a spot on their friend lists for the usage of their base. Unless you're charged a few thousand yen per individual use of any PC inside any secret base, this is a very bad thing. Saying that not everybody will do this is not an argument as they have the option to do so if they choose. If you attach a cost per use of a base PC to discourage this however, the feature becomes essentially pointless and a lot less useful for tournaments. A special (free) PC that allows normal functionality within the base while preventing the party the player brought in with them from being altered is a possibility and would allow teams/friends to battle privately (thus stopping bases from being close to useless in its own way), but a PC without limitations is not happening. A price tag for the PC itself is not an effective enough limitation while also increasing the value of being on someone's friend list, and charging players to move their bases will not work either due to, again, large friend lists. Being able to set up a pseudo Pokemon Center pretty much wherever you want in Hoenn isn't going to ever happen. I'm not going to further argue this as I've said my piece already and would rather not continue to repeat myself. Forums may exist for the sake of discussion, but that doesn't mean that both sides have to end up actually agreeing on something in the end. This seems to be one of those cases.
10. Balance issues aside as we all appear to be going around in circles, I should point out that turning secret bases into portable Pokemon Centers completely destroys the concept of them. As they currently are, they act as hidden rooms in interesting locations that the player can decorate. Add full PC functionality and suddenly they've become something else entirely. If a player is constantly moving them around for the convenience of having a PC with them when they need it, there is no longer any incentive to find a good spot and decorate them - they become little more than a PC for the majority of players. Making it easier to duel inside secret bases is a reasonable request and something I have no problem with if it doesn't allow the player's current party to be altered once they leave (which has been my only issue since the start). Giving the player full PC functionality pretty much anywhere in Hoenn is another thing entirely and will not be happening. Ignoring the problems with it (or passing them off as "convenience") doesn't make them go away. I should also point out that "hard to implement" is not a con and should never be used as an argument against something unless it's actually impossible.
11. As others have stated, this is intentional. Ditto now copies its opponents actual stats (Barring HP). This is how it is in the handhelds and we have no intention of changing it back, as copying base stats instead of actual stats (how it used to be) was actually a bug.
12. Swampert learns Take Down at lv44. I assume that this is the move you're using? Take Down has recoil, meaning that you are supposed to take damage from using it.
13. I play the game, yes. I'm well aware that Secret Power is a TM, but if taught to your HM slave, you can keep Secret Power on that Pokemon at all times and simply switch the 3 HMs on it when you need them. Locking the PC behind BP doesn't magically fix the problems with the suggestion. Once they have it, they can and will still take advantage of it to heal. Something I should make clear is that the idea of a base PC isn't an inherently bad one and I'm not against it in its entirety, but if it is implemented, it has to be done in a way that doesn't allow the user to heal/swap their party members while they're out hunting. Any changes to the user's party would have to be temporary, allowing them to switch Pokemon for duels but not to take new Pokemon out of the base or have the ones they brought in with them healed. If you don't like the solution above, feel free to suggest an alternative, but it has to fit the aforementioned criteria. Designing a solution to a problem (difficult to battle inside a base) shouldn't involve causing more problems. An ideal solution fixes the current issue with minimal or no negative side effects. Arguing that free healing is a non-issue doesn't make it a non-issue, it's simply ignoring what "fixing" the initial problem would cause.
Magikarp, Wobbuffet, etc are unable to learn Secret Power, so your statement about every Pokemon getting it is false. The majority of Pokemon do learn it though.
14. Fly is limited in that you can only use it to teleport to a town or location with a Pokemon center. Secret Base locations are common throughout most of Hoenn and can be entered/exited from pretty much wherever you're hunting, meaning that you don't have to travel far after healing like you would after Flying to a PC. Whether every single player knows about bases and/or decides to take advantage of them or not is irrelevant too, the fact remains that they can and a large number of them will. It would actually be an extremely obvious trick, people aren't as stupid as you make them out to be. Carrying a Pokemon with Secret Power isn't exactly an enormous burden either. Remember that you don't need to go to a Move Deleter to remove HMs. Secret Power is a very widely distributed move that can be learned by all common HM slave Pokemon. Bringing along a Dragonite with 3 HM moves (that you can replace at any time with the other 4 it learns) and with Secret Power in the 4th slot isn't exactly crippling. Secret Power is actually reasonably powerful move regardless, especially on a high leveled Pokemon. The difference between the Weather Institute and Secret Bases is that the Weather Institute can't be taken with you throughout most of Hoenn. You can't set it up wherever you happen to be looking for Pokemon, unlike bases which appear on pretty much every route.
15. This will not be happening for an enormous number of reasons.
16. A refinement of the idea would be to only take away the player's party if they try to access the PC storage system rather than upon entry to the base. Some feedback on the idea or alternative solutions would be appreciated. Viable alternatives need to achieve the same thing however - preventing the player from healing or swapping their party members in the middle of a route.
17. You can't fly from a Pokemon Center to the middle of a Route. If you're not sticking to towns only, Fly is essentially a one-way teleport as you need to walk back to where you were after leaving to heal etc. It's also quite amusing that a perfectly viable solution that achieves what people seem to want (being able to duel in bases) without being exploitable for healing went completely ignored earlier in the thread. If this is going to happen, it is definitely not going to allow players to heal their party, bring new party members outside of the base, or teleport to the middle of a route. Saying that it's a non-issue isn't going to make it less of an issue.
18. As others have explained, False Swipe is simply a damage dealing move that can't KO the opponent. It only has 40 base power, so it may fail to do enough damage to bring stronger Pokemon down to low HP, especially if the user also has low attack.
19. The name was filtered due to "BranNIGan". This particular filter seems to be quite troublesome. Perhaps there will be a revision to it sometime in the future.
20. This will not be happening. A fee that scales with asking price encourages reasonable/realistic pricing and discourages listing assets at absurd prices for vanity purposes, among other things. Making the fee a flat price will result in an influx of extremely overpriced Pokemon and things listed at absurd prices that the owner has no intention to sell. The scaling tax is ultimately healthy for the market.
21. The problem with horde vs horde matches is how utterly chaotic they would be. Matches would be over extremely quickly, likely determined by whose Rock Slide user is faster. There's little to no room for defensive play of any sort when a wall (and every other Pokemon on its side) is taking up to 5 hits per turn. A 5-turn Horde vs Horde battle would be considered a long one. It would just be a mess.

I demand 30k NOW

Inappropriate Pokemon nicknames are now filtered. I'm afraid that we won't be paying for new nicknames as a result of the change.
23. If you feel that Metagross belongs in the uber tier, you should create a post here with reasoning as to why you believe it to be banworthy. If the tier council feels that it may be too strong, it will be looked at closely and discussed.

You may have noticed

I'm afraid that this doesn't warrant a thread~
