1. k so dusclops is kinda like shuckle in the fact that it has a low base hp and huge defenses, whatever that means

you can pretty much use any +defense or +sp.defense nature on a clops

i've seen some different spreads, like some are 252 hp / split defenses, or 4 hp / 252 def / 252 spdef (i dont think there is a "best" build for clops, just depends on how you use it, maybe)

and on this moveset here you could probably replace shadow ball with any other attack, i've seen focus punch too

edit: clops gets night shade, which is like the ghost-type version of seismic toss

edit 2: maybe future sight would be a pain in the rear if used right

  2. What nature,iv and ev is good for aggron when I use crobat and magmar in my NU team?

i threw this aggron together a month ago just to see what i could do w/ it

  3. unrelated intro
this whole topic will probably get deleted out of defeated rage, and i dont like getting into these things because both the staff and myself have done some questionable things to the extent that we dont get along very well with each other
whats so wrong with this idea that it takes players slinging insults to nab your attention to see the bold taste of cinnamon toast crunch point

the idea is there in your face, everyone is brainstorming

and you guys are simply ignoring it

now instead of trying your best to find the teeniest tiniest negative thing about anyone's ideas (that aren't yours), let's try and find the positives that go around this, and seeing that the "pros" and "cons" were listed by breathcore a couple of posts ago, i dont think i need to say anything further

  4. Stop asking for Johto. Storylines suck.

    Maybe they add Johto

    lol

we can hope to see more payout methods that don't involve streaking on BP

    and maybe boosted pickup rates

or just revert the move tutors back and create more payout methods (used to be 25k for double-edge, now if your RNG is bad, it costs more than 50k(2 thick clubs))
RjAVtRN.png
lowered cooldown on vs seeker to be less than 6 hours

    tweaked prices on braces, maybe

anything else you can add that isn't johto would probably be acceptable for this game rn

  5. Then earthquake+fire punch or ice punch work pretty well. Both basically have perfect coverage in NU (ground/fire is resisted by solrock/lunatone/mantine, but possibly worth running fire just to hit pinsir). Ice punch hits flying types, although I kind of doubt it does enough damage to xatu

thanks d00d i'm hoping i can make this thing work ok, or maybe im just delusional and i'm about to create something that'll never work

    once again, thanks

  6. im currently dabbling with an aggron set, you could go with the twave hax set above, or

    -substitute

    -focus punch

    -rock slide

    -ice beam

i may replace ice meme with twave to test it out, but itemtutors screw me over

  7. Just so happens that swalot walls grass types for days. Pokemon like scyther or pinsir probably will be an issue for a curse set though. Earthquake+return can't hit misdreavus at all. If swalot can learn ice punch, that pairs well with earthquake as they're pretty much unresisted.

swalot learns all of the ele punches

  8. Toxic or yawn can work, but I wouldn't run them in combination with curse. A set that's like protect toxic bullet seed earthquake might work if you want to spread a lot of status. I wouldn't run yawn unless you have spikes as it's pretty easy to play around yawn, assuming there aren't any spikes down.

    so you think maybe doing

    curse

    rest

    bseed

    someotherattackthatcouldbeEQbutmaybesomethingelse

i see a lot of similarities to my UU Curse-dily (Curse + Recover + 2 Attacks)

  9. Personally, I would run it as a mixed attacker with ice beam, giga drain, earthquake, and either counter or sludge bomb. If you don't want to rebreed for a relaxed/sassy nature, then I would say run rest>pain split, as pain split is fairly unreliable when swalot has a pretty high base hp. I'm not really sure what all physical moves swalot can run, but you can give this http://www.psypokes.com/dex/atktypeanalysis.phpwebsite a try to see what two coverage moves work together. The website is for gen 6 so some things will be different like fairy types or dark/ghost being neutral on steel, but should be able to decipher it regardless.

yeah im a little sick of breeding so replacing psplit would be the better option, i decided on bullet seed for sub reasons and EQ because wynaut, i might get a move other than that tho

edit: counter seems cool, i just really don't want to rebreed for mixed attacker and multi-hit moves are my 2nd favorite type of RNG next to swagger

edit 2: i could run yawn or toxic, no?

  10. hey my d00ds i just got the sweetest deal on a new gulpin that i found on the GTL, it has 2 egg moves (curse and pain split) and i was def thinking about doing something cool with it

    so so so so so

    whatcha think about:

    Swalot @Leftovers

    Ability: Liquid Ooze

    EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpDef

    Impish Nature

    -Bullet Seed

    -Earthquake

    -Pain Split

    -Curse

    inb4 "wow ur bad"

  11. cool.

i really like xatu, and the thought of providing sets for it to be (possibly) viable in OU is fantastic, because the OU tier seems boring right now
i do the same thing with gligar and flareon but meh

the main reason i stick to UU or NU is because of things like xatu, but dont listen to me

because im really bad at this game

    optional stuff here, possibly offtopic
252+ Atk Choice Band Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gligar: 238-282 (87.8 - 104%) -- 25% chance to OHKO <-- SD + Salac

    252 SpA Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 140 HP / 0+ SpD Flareon: 109-130 (35.6 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

    252 Atk Flareon Bite vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 198-234 (75.5 - 89.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (sassy flare)
