Check Battle logs in the "Battle" chat tab whenever you battle. If you miss it when it says it on your side, it'll say in the logs:
"The twisted dimensions returned back to normal!"

Other than getting critical hits against me every match, PvP is actually pretty fun. There are some things that can be changed and added, but overall it's very good. If only they gave Gengar Levitate and Hydreigon Draco Meteor, right guys?

Replace Ferrothorn. Two steel types in OU will be dealt with y the likes of Choice Scarf Hydreigon (Flamethrower), which will most likely take out Ferrothorn in one hit. Dragon Dance / Life Orb Dragonite (Fire Punch) also takes it out with a single hit. Nasty Plot Togekiss also takes it out (Aura Sphere). Reuniclus (Focus Blast), Iron Fist Life Orb / Blaze Infernape (Flamethrower / Fire Punch), and Garchomp (Flamethrower) also take out Ferrothorn in one hit, with the exception Garchomp (2HKO).
I suggest Eviolite Dusclops, Rocky Helmet Cofragigus, Moxie Gyarados (with Substitute), Eviolite Porygon2, Eviolite Chansey, Choice Scarf / Leftovers Togekiss, Eviolite Golbat, Prankster Sableye, etc. Try to fit a Pokemon in that covers your weakness and not one that will expand it.
Ferrothorn is 2x weak to Fire as it's Grass/Steel as is Scizor, so having two Pokemon with the same type weakness will be detrimental.

It doesn't have to be Landorus or Thundurus who's added. It can be mythical Pokemon and their other forms. Having the same OU mons over again wouldn't be much of a problem if every Pokemon had their abilities given to them, which would spread out usage in OU or all PvP tiers in general.

If moves are going to be kept up to date with the newer gens, I wouldn't mind it as much if we had newer Pokemon. Other than that, I somewhat agree with you here.

I'm hoping that new Pokemon are added even if we don't get newer regions. OU PvP is a bit repetitive and it gets tiring seeing a lack of variety. However, Pokemon X and Y, IF added, will be in the coming years - IF it is added.

Ever heard of the Duel Arena in RuneScape? Works almost exactly how you describe. Players use that as a way to RMT/RWT (real money trade/real world trade) and they don't really get banned for it because there's no authentic way of knowing entirely.

I have a lot of game ideas that I'd like to implement just for the fun of the community, but my issue is ensuring people wouldn't cheat.
For example, I'd like to do a Pokemon version of The Weakest Link, Jeopardy, and The Chase (these aren't the only ideas, just some examples). It would mostly have to be in-game as many people would be too shy to do it over voice calls in Discord, which is one problem. Another problem is that they could be cheating as the prizes would be worth a decent amount (RP, competitive Pokemon, Pokeyen, etc.) I'm sure people would Google the answers or have something/someone tell them the answers. How would you prevent cheating in this case?
