  1. A little bit like Electrode getting quick banned from NU xD
  2. I don't know if people forgot, but Haxorus was tested in the past.
  3. Maybe I missed it, but I don't think anyone argued that.
  4. Well, I'm mentionning it now XD Also, are we going back to regular usage cycles in 2023 (1.7% & 6.7 cutoff points for the first two months)? Please consider a new system that will desynchronize: OU/UU usage movements & UU/NU usage movements Move up & Move down cutoff points
  5. What's the justification for Dugtrio being banned from UU? Empoleon is gone. Porygon-Z is gone. Why is Dugtrio still banned?
  6. Would it be possible to get data based on ELO? For instance, what's Jolteon's usage/win rate from: 400 to 499 ELO? 500 to 599 ELO? 600 to 699 ELO? 700 to 799 ELO? 800 to 899 ELO? etc. Don't get me wrong. The data we have access to right now is a great step forward compared to what we had access to back in 2015. However, nothing has been done since? Why stop there? I understand it takes probably a lot of work and I really appreciate what has been done so far. I'm just wondering if there is a next step. Can we expect more? People have asked for weighed usage based on ELO for a while now and that was never realistic in the past, but why not now? Is it still impossible to implement or do devs/staff do not see this as a priority? I understand if it's not a priority, but some clarity on the matter would be appreciated.
  7. I used 4-0 > 7-4 and this is what I got for WC 5: OVERALL OU UU NU Dubs LC
  8. So right now, there are two teams getting qualified through qualifier. The first team gets qualified by winning the qualifier on Sunday, August 20th at 10 AM UTC. The second team gets qualified by winning the qualifier on Sunday, August 20th at 2 PM UTC. If two additional qualifiers get added, I guess they would be hosted on Saturday, August 19th at 10 AM UTC and 2 PM UTC. So for 16 selected teams, we would end up with this: Team 1: Qualified with donations Team 2: Qualified with donations Team 3: Qualified with donations Team 4: Qualified with donations Team 5: Qualified with donations Team 6: Qualified with donations Team 7: Qualified with donations Team 8: Qualified with donations Team 9: Qualified with donations Team 10: Qualified with donations Team 11: Qualified with donations Team 12: Qualified with donations Team 13: Qualified by winning the Saturday, August 19th at 10 AM UTC Qualifier. Team 14: Qualified by winning the Saturday, August 19th at 2 PM UTC Qualifier. Team 15: Qualified by winning the Sunday, August 20th at 10 AM UTC Qualifier. Team 16: Qualified by winning the Sunday, August 20th at 2 PM UTC Qualifier. I'm not saying this is happening, but just presenting the way I would do it.
  9. If that is something people would be interested in, it could be possible with some tweaks and help. I'll elaborate more in a few hours. Edit: Alright, since I want each team to represent a different region, in a qualifier where two teams represent the same region, only one can qualify. For that reason, if more teams get qualified through qualifiers, this mean we need to more qualifiers tournaments rather than qualified teams per tournament. I'm okay with two more qualifiers getting hosted as long as someone volonteers to host those.
  10. Oh since my donation was against DPP and there are 3 showdown options now, it would probably be best to put DPP in the negative donation range rather than donating for VGC.
  11. It's not the same thing. In TCL, teams get selected. As a matter of fact, 18 teams signed up for TCL and 16 got selected. Maybe they have to pay a fixed fee afterwards, but they certainly don't compete to get selected. I'm not seeking a guarantee, I just want to better the odds of teams staying. Also, you need to realise that out of all unofficial events, World Cup has by far the largest amount of activity wins and teams giving up. Something needs to be done about it.
  12. @caioxlive13 If you want me to consider your suggestions, you need to make sure they work with what I want: Each team must compete! They need to care. They need to fight for their spot. I do not want a group of players to be put together by the host and then they give up after their first loss. This happens every World Cup and there is no way I'm accepting a system where players get a spot without proving that they are not going to give up. I do not want unlimited teams competing. I want a number of teams that can be seperated into pools and then seperated into a single elimination brackets. I think this can work for 16 teams, 20 teams and 24 teams. If you have a suggestion, make sure the number of teams is defined into something that works and not unlimited. There is absolutely no freaking way that as a host I would create "rest of ..." teams. If players go through the effort of creating a "rest of ..." team, that's fine. However, as a host, I'm not doing that. Same thing goes for multiple teams in the same country. It's not happening unless the players do it themselves. I do not want to be involved in background checking every single player to make sure they come from where they claim. Players will lie to play with who they want and I'm not going to police them around. I want the event to be simple and organized. So if you are expecting me to host a tournament with 32 different teams that go through mutliple qualifiers tournaments, then go into pools and then go into double elimination brackets, forget it. I don't want World Cup to last more than 4 months.
  13. Please stop repeating yourself. You made your points several times already and I adressed those every single time. This is not going anywhere. I'm not hosting your event. If you want WC to be hosted in the way you want, do it yourself.
  14. @KaynineXL, when does the donation war end and is there any way to prevent last minute donations?
  15. As a reference point, here is what the Overall Rankings of PSL 14 would look like based on the answers that can be given in Step 5, "Scores Ratios - Questionnaire". 5-5 > 3-2 3-2 > 5-5 4-0 > 7-4 11-0 > 15-5 1-1 > 9-10 5-5 = 1-1 Top 3 order never changes: Shelluny Zhiko JeanMarch Top 8 order for 5-5 > 3-2 4. Juanchoqui 5. Akarukokuyo 6. Nagahex 7. Tawla 8. Godxebec Top 8 order for 3-2 > 5-5 4. Nagahex 5. Juanchoqui 6. Akarukokuyo 7. Tawla 8. ILatios Top 8 order for 4-0 > 7-4 4. Nagahex 5. Juanchoqui 6. Akarukokuyo 7. ILatios 8. Tawla Top 8 order for 4-0 > 7-4, 11-0 > 15-5 & 1-1 > 9-10 4. Nagahex 5. Juanchoqui 6. Akarukokuyo 7. ILatios 8. Tawla Top 8 order for 5-5 = 1-1 4. Nagahex 5. Juanchoqui 6. ILatios 7. Akarukokuyo 8. Tawla
  16. Since I was asked several times for the MVP formulas I used for PSL, I created a Google Sheet Template that automatically calculates the MVPs based on the event data provided. Template restrictions: Maximum of 10 tiers Maximum of 350 players Maximum of 1000 duels total Maximum of 20 duels per player How to use the template? Step 1: Go in File and Make a Copy of the Template. Step 2: Open your own copy of the template on your Google Drive. Step 3: Fill out the first sheet called "Tiers (1)" by listing the tiers of your event. Step 4: Fill out the second sheet called "Players (2)" by listing the name of the players participating in your event. Step 5: Answer the 6 questions on the third sheet called "Scores Ratios - Questionnaire (3)" Step 6: Fill out the fourth sheet called "Matches Data (4)" with matches information (Winner's Name, Loser's Name & Tier in which they faced off) Step 7: Go on the fifth sheet called "Rankings" and sort out players' scores - that have been calculated automatically - in the order you wish to present them. How are the players scores calculated? The score of each player has two components: the W/L Score and the Match-Up Score. The W/L Score is calculated based on the number of wins vs losses that a player got. Two players with a score of 2-2 will have the same W/L Score. The Match-Up Score is calculated based on the strengh of the opponents each player faced. If a player only faced strong opponents with a high win rate, that player will get a higher M-U Score than a player that only faced opponents with a low win rate. The sum of the W/L Score and the M-U Score of a specific player will be the final score of that player. For the people interested, the detailed calculations for the MVPs can be found in the hidden sheets that can be revealed when you go in View and then Hidden Sheets. If you have any questions, concerns or issues about the template, feel free to ask directly in this thread.
  17. Oh sure, I have no problem with replacing Dubs or DPP by NFE or UT.
  18. These tiers have no player base to speak of. LC was an official tier. LC is struggling to survive. LC still has players. Why would NFE or UT ever get a spot over LC? The only thing that would do is kill LC, a tier that still has players, in exchange for formats that have no players.
  19. Reveal the votes! I want to know who are the scums voting for DPP.
  20. The event doesn't create any money. People buy, people sell. Some will make good investments and make money, others will make poor decisions and lose money. The Halloween event has never been designed to "make money". Any money you make is at the expanse of someone else.
