Hey there, nice to meet you! I just got back from a hiatus too!! I'm big on roleplaying too, I always think of a narrative for my characters in RPG games, haha. My current theme of her playthrough is that she's a rebellious kid that's wayyy too cool to make friends (beyond her pokemon), but her journey leads her to discover her dream of becoming a nurse. Would be totally fun to go toe-to-toe once I get her team together. Let me know.

hmm I don't know xD i'd say chibi-inspired, cos my style did start from traditional chibi. but if the customer wants, I can do their art in traditional chibi, it's just not my main style/focus right now~

I think it'd be a cool, once-in-a-lifetime experience for those involved, but it does sound risky. It costs money to put up booth-- time taken off of work, transportation, printing any signs, booth merch, promotion, hotels. Even if people volunteer, they're paying for it. And what could pay them back? Volunteers would probably profit more from selling Pokemon fan goods than PokeMMO-specific goods.

Favorite RPG of all time: Bastion. edit: actually, probably a tie between Bastion and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games.

I think this is a great idea. When I started out in OU, I was gifted a really nice comp Slowbro. I didn't really know how to use it though, so it kept dying. It wasn't until I understood battling more that it became a really super useful poke. Will be looking out for more videos/commentary on this thread~

@Moetal, okay thanks!! I decided to try out the Meowth, to get a feel of how it works. How is this?
@Musher, your sprite design is great & the changes are good 0: I think it could benefit from slightly more hue-shifting colors. made a gif because the differences are pretty subtle, but I think it can add slightly more depth w/ certain color choices. (o=original, r=recolored)
also, i think she'd really benefit from some hair references; the dark lines go all the way from the top to the bottom, which is not always how hair naturally flows. I made a quick example to show what I mean; as a disclaimer, the way I did it is more meant for layered hair-- your sprite's bob looks pretty even all around.

As a big fan of this theme, I wanted to see what it'd look like in different colors as well! So I made a "Seafoam" color edit. I'll likely keep playing with the colors more. I tried to do a "Black and White" one, but for some reason, no matter how closely I looked at the res/texture files, the "bag", "login", and other window headers would remain tan-colored... Weird.
