  1. I believe only EV vitamins and EV-reducing berries affect happiness.
  2. Same case for the berry farming, but I think the devs are going to treat that system as their newest baby. No matter how shit the entire crap mechanics gets, it's going to remain despite being hated by over 90% of players.
  3. I don't know about most people, but some people hate the music and Pokemon cries punching holes in the music of their choice. I know I'm not the only person that turns sound effects and music in the game while leaving notification sounds on. All I'm asking is the sound you hear when challenged to a non-matchmaking battle be played when your matchmaking battle starts. Surely that's not too much to ask.
  4. I don't know if that's really necessary. I mean, it's not difficult or tedious to open your browser and navigate to the forums (made even easier since the invention of browser bookmarks). It takes me only two clicks to get to the forums. It would likely take more than that to find the feature in-game.
  5. It's shit like this that made me completely stop breeding, training, and battling since the berry farming update. The cheaper breeding (which the staff were so against for so long) finally made an appearance after they fucked up training and battling. When was the last time we got a cool new feature without some sort of major loss of another feature?
  6. Apart from having access in-game, you're describing the Suggestion Thread on the forums. Am I misunderstanding?
  7. I don't see how this is a "troll" (holy hell I hate that term). If someone wants to join a match and forfeit, you get free BP and they lose their MMR score, which in turn reduces the amount of BP they get should they ever win a match. It'd be easier to just sign up for matchmaking and then go do something else and would achieve the same results.
  8. This wasn't only about implementing them. It was also about breeding them. You'd know that if you had read the title. In the future, please refrain from doing the moderator's jobs. That's kind of why we have them.
  9. No matter how rare a Pokemon is, it will eventually be common (Metagross for example), especially if it is breedable. I think having static IV's and possibly a random nature would be a good way to go.
  10. Unless this is a newer feature, I can confirm that it is not true. My shiny Ninjask and the Shedinja that came from it (which should also be shiny as it was in the handheld games) have different natures.
  11. I think he meant Thunder Wave support from another Pokemon. Raticate is far too fragile to take a hit so more power is better than a possible paralyze. Therefore, Facade or Return would be better for this particular set. Besides, Raticate should be fleeing from anything faster than it. It's a sweeper meant to kill everything in a single hit and not take any damage from direct attacks. Poison Point from Nidoking or Nidoqueen is not guaranteed to poison you and so is completely unreliable. Also, if Nidoking/queen comes in after you kill something, they will tank one hit and kill you.
  12. Taunt most certainly does not.
  13. All these new-gen kids with their fancy doohickies and internets. Back in my day, Johto was a gen 2 region. Gen 4 just made it... rounder,
  14. Give some sort of notification that you've started a matchmaking battle. Like the notification you hear when you are challenged outside of matchmaking. Some of us like to play with the music and such muted.
  15. Personally, I'd rather see different color text for each player in a battle. It's irritating trying to quickly read through a wall of yellow text to find something.
  16. Their idea of an exploit is putting the base right next to the entrance of Meteor Falls so you can avoid biking from Fallarbor back to the cave when you want to heal. Personally, I think this is a piss-poor excuse and isn't worth more than a hearty laugh at whoever thought it up in the first place. Seriously, you must be joking.
  17. Why is this a bad thing? If someone puts the time and effort into acquiring so many Pokemon, why shouldn't they be able to make money from them? That's like saying rental cars should be illegal because dealerships would make money from it. Besides, if a person feels cheated or whatever because they have no Pokemon to rent out, they can breed some. If you remember, this is a Pokemon game we're talking about. The entire game revolves around Pokemon and the largest feature of said game is battling.
  18. You could just go to the Berry Master's house. He's got a sweet set up, even if it is way out in the middle of nowhere.
  19. Why the hell would you, or anyone for that matter, want to payday Tentacools at all, let alone in private? Do you know what planters are? And if we can put a giant glass or stone table in a tree, why not move a pot and some dirt up there, too? Also, we can have plant decorations in our base. They obviously have no trouble surviving.
  20. Why stop there? If we don't make enough money to buy food, we should starve to death and the character deleted.
  21. At this time, hordes of Pokemon are only available in Kanto as a test. The devs want to work out all the kinks and bugs before implementing hordes in Hoenn. They also want to know that players will use the hordes for their intended purpose. After all, why do all the work of implementing a feature if it's just going to be ignored? (Old matchmaking system)
  22. Common candies have become a thing. Boom. There, just explained literally the only argument you have against this. Please don't come back.
  23. Is this a bad thing? The game is practically the same as it was before the update with the exception of AFK'ing for battles and AFK'ing for berries.
  24. Pretty much what the title says. People tend to get distracted when waiting for the next battle to start and I've won and lost several matches like this.
