When you are farming one particular area of the Johto Safari to reenter you have to always reselect the place you want to visit. Would be a great quality of life feature for the last visited area be at the top of the list. Example you're hunting Lapras at the Rocky Beach. Your safari steps run out and you reenter only to be in the wrong location. Yes it's only $500 yen but quality of life is why we all love this game. Hope to see this change 🙂

I have a question for the developers regarding a potential event in Johto. In the original HeartGold and SoulSilver games, there was a remarkable event involving Celebi that allowed players to trigger a storyline for a special backstory by time traveling with Celebi. I'm curious to know if there are any plans to introduce a similar event in the future of Johto within PokéMMO or if not I hope this could give the developers inspiration for a future event. It would be exciting to have an opportunity to unlock the event through specific tasks and potentially earn a Celebi as a reward at the event's conclusion. Considering the recent addition of Shaymin, it seems that the inclusion of mythical Pokémon is not completely off the table, making such an event a tantalizing possibility.

Kanto gets Alpha Gengar, Johto gets Alpha Mismagius, Hoenn gets Alpha Dusknoir, Sinnoh gets Alpha Drifblim, Unova gets Alpha Chandelure. Completing all five regions gets Alpha Spiritomb. I high recommending stocking on 200-300 repels to make life easier. Bring a pokemon for alpha catching at all times, as every few wisp encounters spawns a guaranteed x31 IV HA Pokemon of the evolutionary line and the last one will spawn an Alpha. I'm looking for some of the best spots to Pickup/Thief/Pay Day farm mostly. I've been shiny hunting Wooper on rt 32 from the Union Cave pc (lvls 18-22) and will occasionally get Poison Barbs, Timer Balls, and Rindo Berries. (also maybe a regular lure and a regular pokeball?) but I was wondering if there was a better spot to pickup farm in Johto currently? (Also not including Mt. Silver as I only started like 2 weeks ago sadly)

As stated in title. I'm asking this because the guides on Guide Tavern are still without information of Johto. I can train EV on other regions but i'd prefer to train in johto due to odds to find Entei, Raikou and Suicune

Sooo, I was looking in the forum for some info on the Johto safari zone, and the only thing I found is a comment of a moderator of the forum, if I remember correctly, about some encounters in each area that change every in-game day, while others are always present. For example you can find Riolu in the meadow on Friday and Saturday during day, for what I've experienced. I'm filling an excel file for each area with the encounters on each in-game day (divided in morning, day and night) to try understanding what pokemon are available and more importantly WHEN they are available, but I have a question: the encounter that changes every in-game day is fixed or is it random? For example in the meadow area, every Friday you can find Riolu, while in the other days you will find another pokemon and these encounter, although changing every day, they remain the same. Because if these in-game day encounters are random, well, all this work is useless and it would be better of only the available pokemon for each area that changes. Does anyone have informations on this?

Is Mt. Silver still gated by 16 gym badges if I use the HGSS Roms? and Will I transport between the two regions to finally reach the elite 4, or will this function like a regular single region game with everything accessible, just all the features from HGSS and the updated gen stats? Also, I noticed that the Team Rocket stuff is a bit different this game like they're not in the radio tower in GoldenRod, is that by design or a bug? Finally, I can't use the poketech to communicate with all the numbers that I store, is that disabled for the region? Sorry for spamming these questions, I've just been super confused and haven't found any answers yet.

Every area except Johto provides restoration after NPC dialogue. It's very inconvenient not to be able to quickly restore after farming the champion.It is hoped that the same functionality can be added to Johto as well.

Hi, I've never made a post here but I don't plan on breaking any rules here. I saw some concerning in-game discussion today that stated the devs were intending on omitting the Kanto side of the Johto map when HG/SS finally drops. This post is a plea to the developers to reconsider. I understand the logistics of omitting a second Kanto. 1. 16 Gym rematches a day would perhaps be unbalanced. 2. It may be confusing to some players. 3. Having two Kantos wouldn't make sense. 4. Its a lot of extra work for not much content. I would like to provide some responses to these problems that I believe would be feasable in the hopes of saving half of my favorite games. 1. 16 Gym Rematches a day may be unbalanced. I believe this is one of the easier issues to fix- Simply limit the amount of rematches that are available. Limit 8 per day or decrease the payout per Gym Leader defeated while in Johto or Kanto (HGSS). 2. Having two Kantos may confuse some players. This concern is well-founded. A player may find themselves talking in General when someone announces a new Alpha spawn in Rock Tunnel. Players will flock to the Lavender Town Pokemon Center and rush into Rock Tunnel, only for it to be revealed that the Alpha spawn was in the HGSS version of Kanto. I believe there are two ways that we can solve this problem. 1. Any time the player is in a Kanto location, the location name in the corner of the screen would read <Location name> FRLG or <Location name> HGSS. 2. A new item that could be sold in the Gift Shop: the Time Machine. The Time Machine would allow instant travel between locations in the two Kantos. In Cerulean City FRLG and need to get to Cerulean City HGSS? Just use the Time Machine and you will instantly be teleported to the front of the Pokemon Center in that town. The concept of time travel brings me to the next solution I have for the issues posed earlier: 3. Having two Kantos wouldn't make sense. This is where the fun begins. Instead of traveling to Johto via the Pirate, introduce a new NPC in the Laboratory of each of the professors. This NPC is working on a Time Machine that can send the player through time and space to Johto, two years in the future. Likewise, in Johto, there will be an NPC that can send you back in time, two years in the past. This would do two things. 1. Allow for the existence of two vastly different Kantos in a way that makes logical sense. And 2. Allow you to implement Unova from Black 2 and White 2 in the future, should the devs see fit to do so. Logic hasn't always been imperative to Pokemon, but I think this time travel solution would prove adequate. This leads me to what will likely be the groveling section of my post. 4. Its a lot of extra work for not much content. You're right. Kanto in HGSS didn't have a ton going on in it content-wise. It would likely be quite a lot of work to implement. But the story started in Johto isn't finished until Kanto. Silver's arc gets resolved. Suicune is finally tracked down after chasing it through an entire region. Team Rocket is put to bed for good. Professor Oak awards you with your second starter. You discover who took over the Fuchsia Gym after Koga was promoted to Elite Four. All this to say- Kanto is a massive part of the Johto experience. Johto simply isn't the same without its sister to the East. Let me wrap up this cringe post for anyone still reading PokeMMO has done something amazing in bringing together all these regions and making them feel connected and alive. I believe that same experience can be attributed in some small part to our collective first step into Kanto in Gens 2 and 4. I ask you devs to please consider staying true to the original HGSS and keeping Kanto intact. If not now, then at least leave that door open to be added later. -Sincerely The Least Cringe Johto Fan
