More of an observation than a question

Question

There are core mechanics that are different from the vanilla games that seriously depreciate the overall quality of my experience in pokemmo. A lot of fights, rather than going back and forth a little bit usually result in a one shot KO from me or the enemy, which makes for boring gameplay. I'll have pokemon 5-15 levels lower than my current pokemon one shot mine. I highly recommend in future patches to change the values back to the original amounts or at the very least scale things down a bit. I'm no pro, or expert at this game by any means, but i've been playing pokemon since generation 1, and when I tell you these mechanical changes are bad, I mean theyre REALLLLLLLY BAD. Aside from just damage values, status effects seem to have taken the biggest hit in terms of viability. The RNG seems to be very unbalanced in favor of the npc opponents (sorry I realize this counts as a 3rd issue im bringing up)

for example:
-sleep being changed from 2-5 turn effectiveness to 1-3 makes sleep based moves almost completely useless. often times I will waste an entire turn putting a pokemon to sleep for it to instantly wake back up, attack, and therefor it makes sleep almost completely worthless to try and even get to proc.

-paralysis rarely procs for me and thunderwave misses waaaay more frequently than it ever did in vanilla thus making it somewhat unreliable. often times its as though paralysis isnt even something to bat an eye at for the opponents. they attack unimpeded.

-confusion will land, and confuse pokemon but they RARELY ever hit themselves in confusion. I'm talking like 1 in 10 chances of it ever happening. confusion is no longer a practical status effect.

this leaves poison and burn as pretty much the only 2 reliable status effects for controlling the battle imo.
I recognize that there is a large presence of pvp'ers in the game and thats likely why the changes were made in the first place. If changes were to be made in PVE the option to switch the values back in PVP to the nerfed status effect values could be an option for people so that everyone would be happy.

I know you likely aren't looking for feedback in that department but PLEASE for the sake of longevity with this game, for PVE, PLEASE CHANGE THIS BACK. Old strats I would use in vanilla are completely broken and not viable due to the new changes. PLEASE give it consideration. Thank you for all you guys do at PokeMMO. This really is one of the greatest indie Pokemon game related achievements.
Happy holidays!

1. sleep has always been minimum 1 turn.
2. paralysis has always been 25% proc.

3. confusion yes has been reducd to 33% from 50%.

The changes were made in the first place not because of pvp, but because pokemmo follows recent generation's mechanics.

And I assure you, if sleep, paralysis and confusion were any better, you would be way more pissed off than actually taking advantage of it because so many npcs take advantage of status conditions. It really is hectic and a pain in the ass.

I don't know what to say about 5~15 level lower pokemon one shotting yours because that's pratically unlikely even when getting hit by 4x weakness.

Well, unfortunately it does happen. Very frequently, and not just with me, my friends too. That would have never happened in vanilla. Not even in the later gens to my knowledge.
IV's and EV's are not a factor in this because I won't use a pokemon with bad stats.

I love when people joined the game 5 hours ago, just to advocate how to "fIx tHe gAmE".

Meanwhile thousands of people playing this game for 11 years and somehow managed the story with a single staryu.

certainly a skill issue no matter how long the text is gonna get

So precisely on which occasion did your pokemon get one shotted? Give an example.
Because the core mechanics are the same as vanilla games, there's no way npc mons could frequently one shot yours even if they were given full comp stats, not to mention they already don't have such.
Heck I could speedrun each region with just one gyarados, so what pve pokemon killed your pokemon that have good stats so easily?

you can get one shotted by a mon 40 levels lower mate, my breloom once got completely destroyed by a lvl 60 swanna with hurricane

the solution is not to change core game mechanics and confuse everyone already playing, it's to get good at the game and learn pokemon movesets and stats

the only advantage npcs get over the player is that they know that you have a choice item (from experience)

My man, the og games are waaaaay to easy. The pokemmo story battles are harder but still manageable, if you are still having issues with your fights, try to approach them with new strategies, new items, new pokemon or maybe put some evs on them. A lot of solutions to your problem instead of having the devs " fix" the game for you, nobody else is complaining about story difficulty
