Shiny breeding

Hey there, so it's my first suggestion, so go easy with me.

 

OTs for bred children now behave differently:

• If the main parent is the breeder's, the OT of the child will be the breeder's. "Main parent" is defined as Mother in cases of Male+Female breeding, or the non-Ditto parent when breeding with Ditto
• If neither OT is the breeder's, it will be shown as "Unknown OT"

What would be the point on breeding a female OT shiny to get the same poke or the pre-evo?

I mean I'd definitly understand the point if the shiny child would be OT if any one of the two shiny parents would be OT.

The point would be to sac a shiny male OT to get the shiny OT child we want.

 

So my suggestion is to get a shiny OT child when any one of the two shiny parents is OT instead of getting a OT shiny child only if the female breeder or the non-ditto breeder is OT.

I could see this being implemented for breeding in general not just for shiny's. I guess they just wanted the "Caught" listing in the dex to be more of an accomplishment, which I can respect.

no way, its so exploitable. get a female charmander and buy a shitty shiny whismur. and get a 50% chance for a shiny zard for the price of less than a mil.

Why not let gift shinies breed with only other shinies, but the offspring still has the gift ribbon?
