Doubt about the competitive

The pokemons of the competitive have the following stats: 5 in the 31 or only the 2 main ones in the 31. help please *-*

Ideally you want 5x31, but you can play with lesser IVs, like a lot of people do, and do just as well. Most of my comps are 2x31 3x28+s for example.

TL;DR; Optimally 5x31, needed? not really, it does help, but depends how much cash you want to dedicate to comp.

If the pokemon you are trying to breed is your favorite then you should 6*31 it or if you have an attack special attack pokemon, if you're just using it competitively then breed it 5*31.

I always breed mine 6*31 if it's my favorite or non-competitive pokemon and I have a lot of time in my hands and I just 5*31 the Pokemon I have no interest because it's not fun if I breed them 6*31 than breeding my favorite pokemon.

 

I also collect all the ribbons on my 6*31 pokemons if I have spare time.

 

btw IVs doesn't have to be perfect on battling, just get the right nature and evs and you'll be fine.

Having perfect IVs is like getting 2 block head start for a marathon. No one would reject them but if you suck at running, then it's pretty useless.
