LeotheKitsune
I just witnessed one of my friends encounter Rayquaza at Skypillar and she tried catching it with the Master Ball but for whatever reason she couldn't use the Master Ball. What's the point of the Master Ball if no one can use it? She should have been able to catch Rayquaza. Link to comment
Deviluke
Hello, She couldn't use a Master Ball because it would be a waste since players can't keep Rayquaza and other legendaries permanently in this game. The player that caught the legendary pokemon will be forced to accept all duel requests from other players. The ownership of the legendary will be transferred to the winner. The cycle continues until the legendary pokemon grows tired of its owner (or owner disconnects/logout). Have a nice day, Deviluke Diano 1 Link to comment
Zeldamon
use your masterball wisely, for example for a shiny that is risked to kill itself or flee. Link to comment
HackGame
Use of the master ball is for shiny that has movements as explosion Link to comment

That mechanic should be removed from the game honestly. If someone catches a Legendary it SHOULD be THEIRS to keep and you should NOT have to be challenged for it. That makes absolutely no sense at all. Link to comment

I mean sure, if you treat each instance of the cartridge games as its own universe it makes total sense. In a singular world it really doesn't make sense to have a million so called legendaries roaming around if canon has confirmed that only one exists. awkways, Sicos, Hythalius and 1 other 4 Link to comment

That's not the issue, the point is that the reason they're considered 'legendary' is because they're rare. There are multiples of many legendaries - or even many legendaries as a whole, but you don't see every trainer with one. Hythalius, Dibz, awkways and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Quick question though @Darkshade, if you're allowed to disclose this information: will legendaries be breedable? Or at least have a mechanic to make the non-ubers competitively viable in terms of IVs and nature? Link to comment

But here’s the thing, there’s over 52 legendaries in existence to where the whole “legendary” status has kinda lost its meaning. A Pokemon being “legendary” now is much less significant as opposed to how it was back when it was just the 3 birds, Mewtwo, and Mew. Point being, if we saw people running around with Rayquaza(s) or Mewtwo(s), sure it would be odd at first, but eventually we’d be accustomed to it. 21 hours ago, XelaKebert said: I mean sure, if you treat each instance of the cartridge games as its own universe it makes total sense. It’s not as singular of a world as the vanilla games. Since you can see people take on the same bosses that you are about to take on, or see other people get the same Pokémon you’d normally be able to get only ONCE(ex: Beldum in R/S/E). So seeing multiple legendaries, especially the smaller ones like Latios and Zapdos, wouldn’t be that big of a deal. 19 hours ago, Dibz said: Quick question though @Darkshade, if you're allowed to disclose this information: will legendaries be breedable?
