Hello! Don't worry, as said above you can find Snorlax in the wild at Cerulean cave or you can buy one at Global Trade Link once you obtain your 4th gym badge. There are no Pokemon that you can't obtain again if you fail the first encounter, they are all obtainable. Also, legendaries have different mechanics and they don't work like the original games.
