1.
If brain mass was decreasing by 1% per hour watched, people would eventually have their brains shrivel up and fall out of their heads. If a human brain were to decrease its mass by even a few fractions of a percentage, it could cause the brain to hit the inside of the skull. This very well could cause someone to die. Last time I checked, millions and millions of people watch anime. If this were indeed true, then Comicon would have literally died off long ago. "Her" second post goes on for quite a long time, and there are zero periods. It is almost like she has no clue how to use punctuation, or is not intelligent enough to figure it out. I swear, this is one of the things wrong with people today... The graph included makes no sense. Your IQ is dependent upon how fast, and how well, you absorb and disseminate information in your brain. Intelligence obviously has nothing to do with anime, since this "woman" seems to not have any working neurons. "The cheese and japanese people", the whole bit about the japanese people hating americans, the "word" "Cheenese", and the phrase "WE WILL CONTACT AUTHORITY". These statements make me think she is either as dumb as a bag of rocks, or from another country and doesn't know how to write in English very well....
The whole page is like a fresh pile of troll bait, flowing out of an infinite spring.

    Final Fantasy

Do spin-offs count? If not, I would have to say Tactics and FF XIII. If spin-offs do count, then my favorite spin-off is Chocobo's Dungeon 2.

    A Dilema

Anyone notice the Gen 6 starters aren't featured? What about Pikachu and Eevee? In Yellow, you get a Pikachu and your rival gets Eevee... On to the topic at hand- If my starter has to be one of the Pokemon on the poster...then....ummm Mudkip cause he isn't getting the lovin deserved. If I can have any Pokemon, it would be Jirachi so I could wish all Pokemon into existence. I could go find a real shiny Slugma.

The FCC being in existence is fine because of what I just said, the Amendment prohibits the government from censoring the free speech of it's citizens. I really don't know how I could have broken it down more....but i'll try. Quite obviously the government has no issue, which is what I was meaning. People say that censorship goes against the First Amendment, and the existence of such an organization (like the FCC that deals with such issues) directly contradicts the thought that censoring is against the Bill of Rights. That only covers Congress making laws that infringe upon that right. It doesn't explicitly say that you can't be censored in a private setting or by a private company, it just says the government shall not pass any laws that do. Loopholes like this can be found in other places. Texas, for example, has a law that prohibits the state from making a public transit system. The way around it? Hire a company that does it for you. This way, the government can keeps its hands clean while still getting the job done. Do I make sense now?

Actually it doesn't contradict with my statement. I was talking in regard to the Amendment, that the FCC is fine according to the laws of the land. My second statement was a bit silly, I do admit.

You being threatening toward someone falls outside of the first amendment, why would you think that would be protected? Also, defamation and slander are not protected either...
  9. He must've written something in the Forums that either wasn't true, or shouldn't have been said....ahhh, I see, censorship.

The existence of the FCC would say that censoring someone else is totally fine, as long as you aren't associated directly with the government. Also, the ability to delete stuff in your post to make it easier to respond to would back that up as well. :) And yes, my previous statement about the US courts not being able to take a nice hot poker from a fire and jab it directly up our backsides may have been too soon... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/24/net-neutrality_n_5206510.html EDIT: Why aren't more people pissed off about this link ^

From http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/bill_of_rights_transcript.html Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Someone else editing your text is their own exercise of the Amendment stated above (if they live in America). The Amendment only prohibits the Congress of the United States of America from "abridging the freedom...or the right" to it's own citizens, not something online. However since this is the Internet, and therefor an international entity, you cannot very well press one country's law(s) on everyone as a whole. And by the way, anything in the Forum would be freedom of the press, not speech (since we are not talking).

Sometimes, I think discussions can be deleted because we have all seen those "update pls I can't live ermageeeerd" , "I lost my pokemon to this guy, he scammed me." and "Why was I banned? me no understand." kind of posts a billion times before. Another reason is that sometimes a discussion goes so far off track that nothing can be gained from having the thread up. Although, a couple of these slip through the cracks and go on far too long quite often. Also, a little over 60% of the world doesn't have "free speech". So to say it is a right that *all* people have is not entirely accurate. Whether or not they "should" is an entirely different discussion. The Internet is not America. The Internet gives no rights to anyone. Everyone is on the same playing field. For now... :)
  14. So, this week....
Glad John Snow's "woman" got what was coming to her. Could have happened sooner, but at least she was killed by a child.
17. Did you see the last few moments of this week's episode! I was like
"He's too cool to die this episode. See? Totally awesome with a spear. WOOT! Yeah, see what I said! He's awesome...No, don't do a monologue...Who cares if he tells you if he was the one who killed her?? Well at least he's won the fight...Whoah! sucker punched...and those look like teeth....He's fine...he'll just use a knife or somethi-OHMYGOD!----[stunned silence]."
19. You forget that this is an MMO and you are playing with other people in a much more "up close" fashion than you would in a cartridge game. Even in Gen 6, you don't play as closely with other people as you do here. Certain things have been changed to accommodate a high volume of players in a single world (and will continue to be). So far, I think they have done a bang up job of changing the single player form of the cartridge game into a viable MMO...
  20. So, what I am guessing is that (more than likely) it is too much of a hassle to do it. Will the players just start attacking each other until the whole game implodes on itself? I could see other social problems arising from this being implemented, not to mention the possible (and probable) explosion of player tickets regarding something not going the exact way they want. Personally, I can see why such things have been kept on a Staff/Game-to-Player level, and not a Player-to-Player level, since so much could go wrong from trading anything in the real world (effectively, since you have to buy the points), for something intangible. The only instance where gifting your RP to another player would be possible, and it not be a real problem with the whole "chargeback" thing, would be to only allow people who won said points in official events the ability to trade only those points to other players...although that could make a whole other issue of Teams funneling all the points into a single account....or worse....
  21. I wanna say at some point I rememeber getting really annoyed with my name and team tag overlapping everyone else's name and whatnot, I also remember turning the option off. Maybe the option was removed? Orrrr maybe it was all a dream... EDIT: Also, I do like the option itself...even if I would never use it. I dislike having my name and Team tag on my own screen, overlapping other people I don't know.
  22. I believe they are already creating an Auction House type feature to the game at some point. So, this is already being worked on. iirc. Linking a forum page would involve urls, and would be difficult to keep people from linking other sites.
  23. Alright. I have a few issues with this game: Forward~ I am writing this while I wait for the game to download. Came home today to find that it couldn't verifify the current version of my game. I went to the control panel and uninstalled. Tried again, same issue. So I went to my Program Files and deleted the entirety of the Zenimax Online folder, so I have a while to wait.
So, first issue I have is with the environment. I fall through stairs all the time if I don't wait forever for them to load, or the floor of a building the moment I walk in....even happens in the cave on that island, above Bleakrock. I have fallen through the Bank a few times, as well. Logging out is the only option, and when I log in, my character loads falling from the sky somewhere nearby where I fell through the environment at.. I have discovered if I don't move at all while falling from the sky, I don't usually die. It surprises me that when I fall from the sky to my death right outside the Bank in Davon's Watch that people don't notice. :P Second, the environment takes forever to load. Yes, I am sure that much of the loading issue is due to my laptop. But when I am going through the environment, let's say, Ebonheart. I am riding my horse and I come to a cliff. But, it isn't JUST a cliff, it is a set of stairs. Realizing my error, i attempt to back step, only to find that that the stairs have generated around me and I am unable to move. Large boulders also have the tendency to do this. Things like fences, however, do not. My real problem with this is: Why? Why did they decide to have the most common things be deathtraps? Why have /stuck degrade your armor? A player doesnt do anything wrong when they get stuck in a set of stairs or a rock, so why punish them? Third, the apparent lack of poisons. What is the point of having Ravage Health if you can't put it on a dagger or arrow? So many reagents have detrimental effects, but it has 0 use. I suppose this will be worked on, but I find it hard to believe that they don't know how such a simple mechanic would work. There also seems to be a lack of reagents/effects. Most of the current selection has the same 8 effects, making alchemy really boring....kinda.... Fourth, when I started the live version, I went through the first area on a character, but didn't like it. So I deleted it and made a new one. When I declined the tutorial area, my Breton ended up in Ebonheart with no idea how to get to Bleakrock. There should be some sort of auto-quest or something to get to the starting zone, from where ever you end up when you decline the tutorial area. Level 10 quests in the area where you begin is of no help to anyone, nor is it fun for a level 3 to be running through an area with enemies more than 3 times their level to get to the area they need to be in. Fifth issue I have is with the crafting system. It is overly complicated and drawn out. But this is the most minor issue, since I have figured it out. But it was a very difficult thing to figure out on one's own.... :D Don't get me wrong, I see alot of potential in this game. However, much of this could have been fixed before launch. I already spent over $80.00 on this, so I may as well play the 30 days I have...
24. Well it was said that a wipe *may* be implemented if it is unavoidable. The things I mentioned
( "Such a switch in phases could bring massive changes to the meta game, more massive than we have seen yet. Things could get rolled back to something that worked in an earlier Alpha patch, or stuff may be changed completely from anything we have seen yet." )
very well may be one of those things...or things I didn't think of...(the link chosen was due to no fluff and how to the point the response was, it is a bit dated) EDIT: What I am really ttrying to get to is that people shouldn't be so worked up over how IVs are inherited. Good to discuss and whatnot, but demanding things may not even benefit you in the long run
