  1. I vote Catch and Release for the title, then clean up the original post - I can do that.
  2. If you want to write the path-finding code, do it. I'd love to be even lazier.
  3. You have no say in this topic if you don't care about IV's. Where you would catch a single pokemon and immediately start training it, I catch 400+. Individually releasing each one of those is a pain in the ass and there is no reason it cannot be simplified. I'm not asking for something that you can mistakenly hit. Just the 5th tab to be accessible and work when you first catch a pokemon and it is sent to the PC - I do not agree with releasing pokemon from your party.
  4. This needs to be implemented. Bump.
  5. My idea on how to avoid pay2win characteristics and tendencies: Do not implement a daily pokemon retrieval system.
  6. Why any of this? Why not just flat battling - which is planned.
  7. I think the HP section needs some cleaning up. Suggestions: Surfing the small pond in Viridian is very brutal. Instead, change it to surfing Victory Road which has the same Slowpoke/Psyduck rate. Also, I've found Route 3 just below Mt. Moon is the best spot for macho brace HP training, as the Jigglypuff give a big boost and the Nidoran(f) are as common as Caterpie.
  8. lol... His point was that this doesn't apply to 90% of the TM list. Horseas have a much higher encounter rate than 5%. You also have a 100% of capturing them, and the option to use thief. A lucky egg is also much, much more valuable than any single TM. I'm not sure if he put any TMs on Kang, Tauros, Scyther or Pinsir, but that'd be the only way they'd be even close to a Lucky Egg in terms of difficulty. And yes, Dark, I get that. I just like the idea of having it normal themed. HP and Psychic I wouldn't want there at all because you could just buy them and they're too crucial to the meta game. Most of the normal TMs aren't TOO strong, except maybe Return. Also, if you were to add Mr. Mime why not the other trade-only? Lickitung + Farfetch'd, but noy Jynx and Mime, in my opinion. Normal theme!
  9. Hidden Power: No, pickup! Double Team: Yes Silk Scarf: Yes Porygon: Yes Psychic: Eh, would be so easy to repurchase, essentially making it into a TM shop Endure: It exists in Gen III, don't see a reason it couldn't be added as TM X+50 Mime: Breeding would be so much quicker. I kind of have a theme going. Eevee: Breeding would be quicker, but he is a rare normal. I'm thinking some other normal Pokemon can be added, such as baby fairies. Also some normal TMs like False Swipe, Return, Rest, Facade, etc.
  10. I bought 99 Ultra Balls in week one and I've used two or three. False Swipe and Spore, yo.
  11. The entire point of the Masuda Method is to create relationships via Pokemon between two people who would normally not interact with each other because of the spacial distances. PokeMMO is currently a melting pot of many different cultures and peoples - this will not get implemented.
  12. Alright, summing up everything, I now think the game corner should still be implemented, but not be the only method of obtaining these items/pokemon. Buying a Porygon would probably be a lot simpler than adding them to the wild somewhere, so 100k for a Porygon sounds perfect This. I actually am on the side of the TMs being too common. 5% to get an ice beam off of a horsea is a joke. It would take twenty minutes to get one with absolutely no cost other than thief PP. There seems to be a lot of favor for this and I support it. I do, however, warn the devs that gambling can drastically change how MMOs are played. If anyone ever played Puzzle Pirates before poker was introduced, you'd know how terrible of a game changer that was. As long as there is more than just slot machines and the money-making isn't game breaking, then there shouldn't be an issue at all. I mean, money is lol anyway because of VS Seeker and Pay Day. You'd use a flute to heal CONFUSION? You know a switch in removes it, right? Besides, you can purchase berries that heal confusion, obtaining these flutes would just make you spend less of the money that's already in abundance. Furthermore, the flute that reduces encounter rating can be replaced by repels (which work better anyway) but the only way to get the White Flute's effect is Arena Trap or Illuminate - but this has to be the party leader and can potentially screw your hunting capabilities - which is why I suggest keeping the White Flute in game, but making it hard to obtain. And by hard I mean lots of shellder. Pay Day + VS Seeker. If you do the routes from Celadon -> Fuschia -> Lavender/Vermillion, plus the Gamers found on the route between Saffron and Lavender, you make around 350k a day. Plus you can Pay Day for 1k on any wild pokemon.
  13. Just some things I think should be added to the wild. This was a suggestion before the Game Corner came out, but looking back I think it still makes sense. Sure we could play the GC for a little while and get the coins for these items, a lot of people would prefer that. I think having the alternate source would be neat, though. Smoke Ball: Koffing Charcoal: Magmar Miracle Seed: Exeggcute Mystic Water: Kingler Silk Scarf: Persiansw White Flute: Jigglypuff
  14. Only if it means more berries in my bags. If we keep the table static, then drop berries still.
  15. Or just don't do it and wait for them to add the new regions? I'd much rather have the ability to travel to new areas.
  16. What happens when I get the only Kecleon that this game sees for another year, thus giving me a complete monopoly on the pokemon. I could charge millions to test hidden power.Or what if I get the only houndoom and I make people sign a blood oath to not breed the eggs I give out. I agree with Owl, this is an easy button that can just randomly gift someone with an incredible advantage no one else can get.
  17. I do not look like Mathew Parkman, but I would love to have his super power. I agree with both suggestions (the former being mine). Removing items shouldn't have a confirmation since there's no risk.
  18. Now that we have a thread going, I think its more and more likely the FRLG table will be tossed out.
  19. I'd suggest a scaling chart resembling Emerald but catered specifically to PokeMMO. I'm glad you made this post, as I was right about to. Drop: Revives, Elixirs, Super Potions etc. Make the 91-100 (Or just 100) tier something like this: 30% Ultra Ball 10% Rare Candy, Random Vitamin 5% PP UP, Nugget (Equivalent of 5 vitamins, basically) 3% Max Revive, Max Elixir (Nonrenewable otherwise) 1% False Swipe (level 11-30), Hidden Power (level 31-50), Rest (level 51-70), Focus Punch (level 71-90), Earthquake (91-100), Leftovers (81-100) I realize False Swipe isn't a TM, but it is in the future generations and is a currently implemented and very useful, non-competitive move. I see no reason not to implement it, as it won't change the meta game and won't mess with the current or future TM list.
  20. I'm sure the devs plan to add as MUCH info as they can stand to add and that will be that.
  21. Do you know what generation this is? I say toss this idea out. When we get to Johto and Hoenn, they will have their specific Safari Zone counterparts.
  22. Chansey has a 4% encounter rate, not 5%
  23. I have a better idea. Why not make all TMs available in a store where we can purchase them with pokedollars? You're welcome.
  24. Your idea is baseless anyway. It takes a few hours to complete the game. Novices wouldn't be prevented from getting "overpowered" moves and they shouldn't be anyway. Shame on you for reviving a terrible thread.
