Yeah, you can use Binomial distribution. If you're trying to find the probability of finding exactly one shiny after n encounters, it would work, however the way Orange stated is a lot easier, and gives you the same answer. Having said that, you can do more cool things with Binomial distribution, i.e if you want to find the probability of exactly 3 shiny encounters, or at least 4 shiny encounters etc after n encounters in total. Does that answer your question?

Sure

So we both put something on the line, let’s say 1m, or 10 comps each.
We then give the stuff to a staff member
we ask the staff member to flip a coin.
you guess heads or tails. If you are correct, you get everything, if you are wrong, I get everything
doesnt have to be a coin, but something 50/50 that’s fair for both

So I'm trying to quit and thought of a fun way to do it. If anyone is brave enough to partake in a random 50/50 bet for millions in cash/comps post below
something like getting a staff member to flip a coin or guessing a number 1 or 2
Cash - 1m
Comps - A lot
we can value it before we bet
Bets must be -
Minimum = 1m
Max = everything i have
Spxter's [Breed Shop] + SELLING COMPS
in Trash
2x31, 3x27+ Bold Cofag
Could you do this please? Can pay upfront
