PokeMMO Generation 5 OU Competitive guide [Discontinued]
Draekyn replied to OrangeManiac's topic in Guide Tavern
In what I quoted your premise was that the opponent knew your full set. Though this is correct if they're only aware of the scarf/trick. Locked dbond is always tricky for reasons I'm sure you're aware of. It'll surely do its job if played with the right timing. That aside, from the few lines I read in this and other comp threads, I think you should consider the limitations of a playstyle based on predicting, it obviously showcases game knowledge and confidence, but imo it should be a (though commonly used) last resort if your team is well made. Carry on discussing Gengar, love this btw perfectly demonstrates how much we need a dev that's not oblivious to all things related to competitive play -
PokeMMO Generation 5 OU Competitive guide [Discontinued]

In the situation you describe, assuming the opponent is aware of your set, I would argue we're not talking prediction but glorified guessing. A cool trick is to first try not to put yourself in a position where you are forced to "predict". -

If you don't mind me asking, what do you believe is the point of collecting data that's heavily influenced by current events?

have you tried turning it off and on again?

PMF is a series of tournaments on Fortnite accessible to all, even @Aerun. Format & Rules 2v2 in Squads, best of 2 games. All four players will invite each other to a party and search for a squad game. The winning team will be determined by the team with the largest number of total kills over the 2 games played. If there is a tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by a 2v2 in Playground mode, best of 3, the specifics are up to the players. For PMF's first installment we will start by taking signups and deciding on how to form the teams. Signup format - Epic name: - Platform: - Server: - Overall K/D: Seasonal (+ Lifetime) (We might need your K/D in case forming teams based on K/D wins the poll). Game pretenting it's not trash

Definitely less than they should be, the shiny market is fucked beyond belief. That aside, maybe it's just me but I find those gen 3/5 fossils way less appealing than a Kabu or Omastar.

What if you want infos on all of them to make a budget and prioritize your offers? This is senseless.

I'd like to point out that some of these rules might be outdated, GTL wasn't around during the old VD debacle. Arguments when it comes to value discussion can now be backed up with observational data. I would argue that it's something which would've surely detered market manipulation by experienced traders had it been implemented sooner. Additionally, how about hiring a moderator versed in market values? We argued for it several times in the past, not sure it ever was considered.
