Well there was a variety of online pokemon games in 2012 and I picked this one because it was close to the original game mechanics-wise. I am already looking forward to fakemons.

Isn't the payday formula still (pokemon_Level) * 10? I think that this game is becoming more apart from the original games with the shiny rate. I chose to play this game in 2012 because it was like the original games.

I have been playing since 2012 and I am totally in for the server wipe too. I actually started to like the new update, but a server wipe would be an effective way to start it.

I do not like this suggestion, I think it would be better to keep it like in the original games.

By pretty quick and reasonable, I mean that it should still be as time consuming or "harder" than the current method(account creation). There weren't any problems with too many shiny gifts given out to the players before the update, so I don't see any reason in making it nearly impossible to obtain one after the update. :) Edit: This will also reduce the amount of new accounts being created, if they made a feature where you would have to spend the same or more amount of time to find a single Charmander.

Thanks for the answers Kyu. Now I'll just have to hope that you guys will implement some kind of mechanic in the end game, where you'll be able to get or find a starter pretty quick with a reasonable encounter rate. :)

Well I thought it was possible to overwrite data on a server by deleting a character and creating a new one.

How is shiny starter hunting through character creation a freebie? Isn't it like soft-resetting in the original games and earn something rare by spending a lot time doing the same thing over and over again.

I am sympathizing with all the breeders now, since they took away my shiny starter hunting too for no rational reason. They could have just kept the level cap for starters, but they decided to do something weird and nobody knows why. RIP Edit: Look at his poor little face! He is innocent :(

Well I have to disagree with you on this, because even in the original games it is possible to get a shiny starter through soft-resetting. I am pretty sure many games have it in this way, where you'll get a rare thing by doing something over and over again till you obtain it through RNG. All old and new players even had the opportunity to hunt for shiny starters, so there is no disadvantage for any of the players playing the game right now. Well my motivation for this game was pretty much to hunt for shiny starters and alt-runs, which is pretty much going to be ruined by the new update(s). Could I please get an answer for the following question: Will the new feature which makes gift pokemon untradable affect the current gift pokemon obtained before the new update? why/why not?

Overall I think this feature ruins the shiny starter hunting for me, you could have chosen another way to prevent too many alt accounts/chars for being made, just by making a simple delete character function. :(

Well I think this was a great way to stop this madness instead of doing a complete server wipe, which could have potentially lead to even more mad people. +1 for the new features.

A function to delete characters or remove the limit on creating accounts. Some animation (sparkles) when a shiny pokemon appears. Make more of the items from the gift shop tradable.

A server wipe could be good, if they also removed breeding completely or balanced it. The developers could make breeding have a slightly advantage in some way and a disadvantage in another, but don't make it totally overpowered against the good old way by catching Pokemon. I don't know if a server wipe would attract more players than now, but usually people think it's unfair and time consuming to get rich as the other players. Pros: A fresh new start for the new region(Hoenn). Get all the bred Pokemon away from the game. Could have a bigger player base. Cons: Old players/big players will be upset about losing some valuable items. Players could lose trust to the game(they are scared of a new server wipe. Well a server wipe is a big thing to do and requires a lot of research to do.
