TEMPEST EXPLOSION GYM RUN STRATEGY My credentials: CHECK OUT MY YT CHANNEL Several Old World Records, First player to ever hit 27, 28 and 31 Gyms in a single run. Along with developing the Current world record team along with Rainer (current holder) Current World Record Max Gyms % Rules: One continuous run, no logouts allowed Time ends once the final battle screen disappears Non-held items outside battle are banned (leppas, revives, etc.) These rules are stricter than what is done in the guide, saving us time. This team is slightly different to my last one, utilising Vanilluxe for some problematic gyms such as Blackthorn, Opelucid and Mistralton to name a few. Overall this lowers the turn averages compared to the last gym strategy and allows us to do 33 gyms fully consistently. There are a few drawbacks, including a Blissey in the back paired with a sashed Watchog in Nacrene. Key: Weezing + Hydreigon Typhlosion + Togekiss Blastoise W + Vanilluxe HEAL AT THIS POINT SWITCH REGION TEAM FOR GYM RERUNS PokePaste MOVES THAT NEED PP MAX: ERUPTION, WATER SPOUT IV/EV explanation: Hydreigon: MAX 14 HP and DEF IVs die to Banded weezing explosion. SPA EVs so Weezing survives Crit Surf Blastoise W: 13 HP and Max 14 DEF IVs die to Banded weezing explosion. (Not currently necessary but allows for future optimisation if needed) Vanilluxe: 248 SPE EVs to outspeed violet Aerodactyl when scarfed, Remaining 4 EVs are not needed so put into HP Weezing High DEF 25+ to help deal with Sableye + Seismitoad variation in Driftveil. These NPC teams have fixed shinies. You will eventually see things like shiny Latios or Latias at some point if I'm not mistaken. Good fun

I strongly disagree with this point. Teambuilding is fundamental to any Pokemon game and should be a major factor in the game's decision-making. It's why the devs have gone through and reworked every single NPC trainer to encourage proper team building.

Saffron is one of the worst gyms in the game for this strategy where rng cases like this can occur. if you are willing to use 2 x items on 1/5 variations you can try this

This isn’t even true. Npc pokemon ivs and ev scale throughout the game. the first starter battle for example is 0 ivs and 0 evs.

Wasnt specific to Zekrom, just about the potential for Uber Mons. Other Ubers do have full walking sprites, correct? Why not make them obtainable but not useable then? Place them as a reward behind 100 max level raid completions (for example) and make them ignore you just like mons above level cap do in PvE and ban it in PVP. Satisfies both the ownership problem and the immense effort of obtaining while maintaining the balance in both aspects.

Would it ever be possible to allow pokemon like this as follower sprite only but not usable in any battles? maintaining the balance of both pvp and pve but still allowing players to show them off or use them for outfit combos.
