Holding all of a player's received messages is not really something I would like to do.
I think a possible compromise for the issue is a "Desu has reconnected." broadcast for team/friends. Similar to the current login/logout message.Wouldn't it be possible to make it client based? like stored in our hard disks?

They make the game a lot more interesting.
Sometimes (especially with high crit ratio moves) the mere chance of a crit losing you a game is enough to make you play in a different way.
Hax is not just something that happens, you gotta take that into account all the time.
But yeh, it does make the game less competitive after all

if anything i wonder why mono directional threads (op opens the thread with the sole intent of getting a quick answer) are even allowed.
I mean, most of the times there's no space for any kind of discussion once the answer is given. wouldn't it be easier to have a single thread for that kind of information? or maybe educate the community to use the search bar.
As for johto they don't want us to speculate for some reason.
