I disagree. The features to be able to communicate with each other is part of this game and is one of the things that make this game, this game. Without the community and the features that come with it, what would we have left? Not much more than having Hoenn pokemon in Kanto, that's all that comes to my mind in quick thinking and there are randomizers for that. The community is what makes this game stand out and you can option to take part in chats, you can option to even receive a message in chat, you can option to create an account on the forums or not. But how long would that make people last in reality? With the game still in the process of being completed, there's only so much stuff for us to do and it's to us to make it enjoyable. If that's through communicating with others, so be it. I don't see how it's a bad thing to value the community above the other features available to us. It's reality and actually, the staff can make use of that information. The official events mostly require communicating and interacting with other people in the field as well, does it not? Even in the slightest ways. To know that we enjoy talking to others more than the other stuff gives tgem insight in how they could make this game more fun to us, it's up to them to decide how, when and what, have them be creative in that.
By just answering to this question that "it's fun", you get the question "Why is it fun?" and then we're all back to the same answers, so it's more thinking ahead than giving the easy answer. But feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or misunderstanding.
