I have received a lot of help from a few players that I really want to shout out.  @IPkMnTrainerRedl  your kindness to me when I started out really helped me keep going and allowed me to achieve my two shiny Pokemon. I respectfully disagree with you the difficulty is my favorite part of this game it is an extra level of strategy that can be employed through creativity and problem solving in my experience. I have beaten one region and seven badges in the others. The main strategy I see is to rely on a Moxie Pokemon and it is much easier.

Yes!!!

Single hunted magikarp literally just before sinnoh was released, and mass magikarp hordes appeared everywhere.
Previously it was still easy to encounter, but had no hordes. Wish i had the foresight to see that coming.....i floated in sootopolis for many months xD

Smeargle random horde encounter after a month of playing was my first. Still kept it, now it knows 4 legendary moves hehe.
