  1. -Filter pokemon by route so that you fan see in the pokedex what is available in each route -Filter by ability -Filter by move -Filter by typing It is annoying to have to look up bulbapedia or other external source to see which pokemon can learn Fake Out or having to search on gtl “has move” and click through pages of duplicate pokes till you see the full list, same goes for abilities and types. The pokedex should have all of this info in it by default. Also why is route information not shown in game? It should tell you what is available to catch at each route. Sure i can look at an individual poke and see where to catch it but what if i want to know what else is available there? you gotta go google it. These would all be amazing qol improvements
  2. Have the devs considered changing doubles format to be like vgc where you bring 6 and pick 4? I personally like the faster games of vgc and I think it impacts team building and strategy alot more
  3. The really isn’t a good way to pole the community for feedback on what you would like to see added to the game, so i thought i should ask here and see everyones opinions. (1 being highest priority) My List: 1) End game co-op dungeons 2) More repeatable end game bosses 3) In game achievements 4) In game quests as well as monthly quests, weekly quests, daily quests, and server wide community quests 5) In game leader boards for pve 6) Add in game route tab that shows what pokemon are available in each route 7) Add a option when right clicking pokemon to bring up pokedex entry 8 ) Add a collect all pokemon to pc button to mail so that you dont have to individually collect pokes youve bought from gtl 9) Add vanities to pokemon like hats 10) Add a pc to secret bases so you can trade and manage boxes from there This is my top 10
  4. I think adding a tab somewhere on the screen that shows what pokemon are available in a route would be beneficial for dex completion and just hunting for pokes in general. There is currently no easy way to check what pokemon are available in any given route other than trying to look at the wiki which is outdated. The pokedex only shows routes for a specific pokemon but does not show a list of pokemon available by route. The tab would be able to be maximized and minimized by the player to take a quick look to see what is available. And the pokemon would be shown as a they would in the pokedex so either a sillouette, a sprite with no box, a sprite with blue box, or a spite with a green box. I hope this suggestion makes sense and I think it would be a huge quality of life improvement.
  5. Though I have no concrete proof of this, I believe that bots are rampant on the GTL specifically. Alpha flipping seems to be the most obvious use here. If an Alpha is under 25k it seems to be snatched up instantly as soon as it's posted. Now I know that normal players probably grab some of them some of the time but the consitency at which alphas are bought and flipped is high and fast enough that I am suspicious. Adding a captcha check after a certain amount of purchases within a certain amount of time of the poke being posted from the recently posted section would help combat bots to some extent. This wouldnt affect players mass buying dittos or specific pokes for breeding, or even the average glt flipper but only bots/people camping the just posted section and "sniping" items and pokes at an unusually fast rate. Again I have no proof but I've seen several players speculate about this and this implementation would help stop some bad actors and help the overall economy.
  6. What are the community's overall thoughts on the shiny encounter rate and how long it takes to get one? I know the devs have said they are happy with the current rate but is the community generally supportive or is it something they just accept/tolerate because they like the rest of the game? Have the devs thought of making changes in the future? And what are your thoughts on the overall shiny system.
  7. I think your post is extremely well written and thoughtful, and I like pretty much every idea you presented. However, I still fundamentally disagree with the 1/30k shiny odds. At 1k encounters per hour using leppas we are looking at on average 30 hours of pressing 2 buttons to get a shiny. And that is for a times 5 horde, now for a 3 times horde that goes up to about 50 hours at around 600 encounters per hour. For single encounter at about 150-200 encounters we go up to 150-200 hours to get a shiny on average. Egg hunting is its own beast so lets just say 1k hours to be VERY generous. These are just numbers to get a shiny and not a specific shiny which multiplies the time by several factors. Now the main attraction for pokemon besides battleling is collecting. Now since breeding is in the game, normal pokemon hold no distinct value compared to another of its species. You can simply breed a perfect specimen of that species so everyone can have one. This is opposed to there being no breeding and a 4x31 poke being extremely special due to the near impossible mathematical fact that someone will roll the same stats, nature, and ability on their poke of the same species. So collecting normal non-shiny pokemon does not feel as special. So back to shinies, the average player can hope to get maybe a dozen or so shinies as OT in years of playtime out of the hundreds of pokemon in the game. My main point is that a low rate for acquiring shinies is bad for player experience and does not give enough insentive to farm for them or strive for collecting them. The average player should currently treat shinies as a lottery item rather than an reasonably achievable goal. The shiny market, in my eyes, holds little relevance when compared to player experience. Players need the insentive to grind yes but they also need a somewhat constant stream of reward to keep them motivated. In my mind a rate of 1/15k to 1/12k would highly motivate players to shiny hunt and collect. The fear of the shiny market being affected currently overshadows user experience in my opinion. Also a shiny will always feel special, and arguing that the special feeling of obtaining one is tied to the 1/30k odds is narrow sighted in my opinion (btw that is 1/27k for a good portion of the community because of donator status). These are real life hours we are talking about btw, i could beat a full AAA game in the time it takes you to get a 5 times horde shiny. The sweet spot should be around 8-12 hours for a common shiny the rest should be balanced around that. I know this will never happen in this game but it's just my thoughts.
  8. Hello, Just wanted to know if anyone knows if the devs are open to volunteers helping develop the game and add features. I would rather actually contribute than just sit back making suggestions. I have programming experience and am willing to help improve the game in whatever way I can. Thanks
  9. Well they would be for the late game and are completion goals, much like how like rare shiny hunting is a late game completion goal. They would not impact the story and besides gym rebattles there really is no PvE in this game. And in the event they implement more PvE then just ban them from battles all together. They can basically be like shinies, just sit in the box and let people look at them. Even if it is a watered down prize, it still adds hours and hours of content to the game with very little recourse. The devs control the game, they could do anything they want to balance them or even re-imagine them. Hate the gene trio? Well make them balanced or just make them only learn tackle, idk there are infinite possibilities other than just saying NO to adding them
  10. Counter argument: Add all of them and make them all catchable for each player, but they are not tradable, not breedable, and cannot be used in PVP. That way people can still catch their favorite legendaries and just have them as completion goals and trophies. You can even make quests for obtaining each legendary which would add an abundance of content to the end game. It makes no sense to not have them at all because of balance fears when there are very obvious and easy solutions like the ones I listed above. As it stands right now legendaries are not even really part of the game since they are primarily controlled by a handful of players who actively play hot potato with them. This would make them accessible to all while maintaining balance and rarity since they would be end game goals.
  11. Hello, I'd like the option to swap the side of the Fight button on android from the left side of the screen to the right side. I saw the option for swapping a and b buttons which is nice so it shouldnt be that hard to add the same option for this. Thanks
  12. Don't know if this has been asked but has it been considered to move you character by clicking where to go? As an example, world of warcraft or in diablo, you click on the ground and your character moves to that location. It's really a feature that is in most modern and old mmo's. Now I know it's not really a thing in pokemon but thought since this is an mmo, something like that could be implemented. Would be great for people with handicaps/disabilities instead of using the wasd to move
