If you are asking why I want you to get off my ass, it's because I am a fucking straight boy (please understand the reference/joke) If you are asking why I am making a video for my breeding guide, well... because people asked me to. And even though I've been inactive for a month now (or however long it's been), whenever I check the forums from time to time, I will have at least one message in my inbox that says something along the lines of: "thank you so much for the guide, I just wish there was a video..."

Get off my ass. I'll quit when I find time and motivation to finish my breeding guide video.

Yes, I was around for the suggestion, and every other time it was suggested. It would not have "helped maintain prices", however. Actually we did have 6x31's and 5x31's (since many pokemon don't need 6x31) being bred daily... And their prices were dropping before the update happened. No... The point is not to have a negative effect... The point is to diminish the positive effect to a point where it closely matches the rate at which new players enter the game, thus causing an equilibrium. 1. Considering that a vast majority of new players who come on here to complain about the "stupidity" of sacrificing parents, yes I do think that, since this new system is much, much better in the long run, but so many people are too short-sighted to realize it. 2. I guarantee you that split is not significant, and if it is, then it will become insignificant as more and more updates occur. Also, it would take a lot more resources to manage another server. 3. N/A 4. Why the hell would the devs ever tell their players to stop playing their game, and that it's bad. The fact you think it's bad is your own opinion. Many other people think the game is great. The devs would be happier with making the players angry, than telling the playerbase to quit... 5. whatever, they will always be passive aggressive to me.

OK, you need to stop thinking like this game is complete. Right now, the new breeding is just a base and is due for change. The mechanics and everything behind it are good. You should be thinking of it as a foundation. Once something similar to a Runescape Grand Exchange is implemented into the game, the economy will then become much better. The issue with the new breeding mechanics is not in it itself; rather it's the fact that it is lacking an adequate economic stage for such a system. The reason you see the old breeding as better than the current breeding, is because it worked just fine with how our economic platform is set up (yelling into chat constantly to buy/sell stuff, or making a rarely seen forum thread). The new breeding doesn't really work with that kind of platform, imo. This is why, I will say again, rather than focus on yelling at devs to "reverse" the breeding update (which definitely won't happen, so stop complaining) focus more on a nice trading system that will complement this breeding (like a Grand Exchange, or an auction house, or whatever you devise). but eventually 6x31 pokemon would become worthless. You must look at it in the long run. There was ZERO pokemon sink in the old system (besides maybe players getting banned). So, evetually there would be a surplus to pokemon and they would simply be handed around like pinata candy. You look too much at the short term.

And this is why PokeMMO might not be right for you. 2 weeks is nothing to get into the end-game of an MMO. Well... If it is impossible to catch in the wild and it is unable to breed, then it simply wouldn't exist... It's rarity would be infinite... The point of species rarity is that some pokemon will be harder to obtain than others. Prime example are the genderless pokemon. They are harder to find in the market with desirable stats. yes, you're right, it would be easier. But it has drastic effects on the MMO environment in the long run...

see... I bred quite a bit, and I never found that it was an insane amount of grind... 6 pokemon would take me about 2 weeks of moderate play every day... I don't think that's bad. And EV training is a lot less grindy than it used to be... Especially with 100% golbat encounter in Hoenn, speed eving takes no longer than 30mins. I think the only grind-lowering things that should happen are: 1. Alternative method to money making (doesn't actually reduce grind, but makes it more bearable) 2. Confirmed IVs (which has already been confirmed). Therefore I agree with DS, it's fine as is. The real issue that you guys need to focus on, is fixing the current market. As of right now, only the lower end of the quality of pokemon are being traded a lot (the breeding material). The higher end is still traded, but at a very low frequency (as far as I could tell). But fixing this issue without making comps so easy to get and maintaining species rarity is the real challenge. edit: which is why I agree with Cody. I think a Grand Exchange system would be an important factor in fixing the issue.

This is why I advocated for being able to breed dittos together.

Clone: a person or thing that duplicates, imitates, or closely resembles another in appearance, function, performance, or style. You were cloning in the last breeding system. You had 2 pokemon that could make infinite of the same pokemon, with near or exactly the same stats, especially in the case of two 6x31 parents.

IV: Solved through the new breeding with braces. If you breed correctly you will combine two lesser IV sum pokemon into one greater IV sum pokemon. Genetic Skills: ? Losing Pokemon that you trained: If a pokemon you trained needs to be bred, then you probably shouldn't have trained it in the first place... [spoiler] :ph34r: no one saw me :ph34r: [/spoiler]
