I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully defeated the Pokemon League for the Kanto region! The Elite Four proved a formidable challenge, and it's no surprise they are considered the best of Kanto. Interestingly, Gary beat them before I did, and his strength has grown. However, after a close match, I emerged victorious. Blastoise delivered the final blow with a fully powered Hydro Pump! After commemorating my team in the Hall of Fame, Professor Oak suggested I continue exploring the Pokemon world. I decided to fly back to Pallet Town and have dinner with my mom before embarking on a new journey.

Upon reaching Vermillion City, I noticed a new ship at the docks. My curiosity got the best of me, and I discovered that the ship travels to other regions. I couldn't pass up this opportunity, so I boarded the ship and set sail to Johto. Upon arrival, I was advised to send my Pokemon to Bill's for a while. I agreed and began my new adventure!

It has been quite a while since I last updated my journal. I have been so engrossed in my Pokemon journey that I have not had the time to sit down and record my progress. I have accomplished a lot since my last entry. Currently, I have obtained 5 badges and caught a total of 98 different Pokemon species. My team has fully evolved, and my partner Blastoise is stronger than ever. 

Recently, I arrived at Cinnabar Island where the door to the Cinnabar Gym was locked. I was hesitant about entering the creepy mansion and decided to fly to Saffron instead. There, I fought in a fighting gym and was gifted a Hitmonlee. However, it was not an official gym, so I didn't receive a badge. I also noticed a Rocket grunt standing outside the next-door gym. I am curious about what is happening in this city. Could there be a connection to Silph Co. again?

As I continue on my adventure, my partners are becoming stronger with each passing day. I am beginning to understand the joys of being on a journey and making new friends along the way. With three badges from the Kanto region under my belt, I have realized that each gym leader was tougher than the last. I am also learning the importance of training multiple teams of Pokemon in preparation for future battles and that I cannot rely solely on my favorite ones. While traveling, I encountered a few of Professor Oak's aides. Fortunately, I have managed to catch about 60 different species of Pokemon so far, giving Oak's aides a reason to reward me with tools to help me during my adventure! 

However, I find myself stuck in yet another creepy cave. The good news is that no signs of any Bug Pokemon are around!
