You do know that the vanity was firstly locked behind the tablets and secondly behind beating all the zodiac masters? I am sorry to say it but the zodiac masters weren’t necessarily a walk in the park and required you to bring a somewhat solid team (at least the dragon and pig one did). The envelopes you mentioned sell for about 3.5k a piece. Going through the trouble just for them would been a disgrace. I disagree to overlook the second requirement for the vanity and hand it out for free because some people didn’t read the update notes stating when the event would end.

People don’t seem to read updates. You can’t really blame it on communication this time. You shouldn’t rely on the event vanity availability timer from the gift shop either. Gift Shop is how they make their money, I can understand why they’d leave the vanities accessible for day longer than the initial event.

The requirements were already lowered from 480 swarm Pokemon to 288. Which is a significant decrease and those who grinded the 480 Pokemon (including me) were fuming. There was plenty of time to get all the tablets with the requirements having being drastically lowered. Now I can understand that you may be disappointed. However the vanity is purchasable via the GTL.

Fam, check the updates. Once you have the tablets you can challenge the 12 Zodiac Masters. Once defeating all you’ll get the Dragon Zodiac outfit.

Having a feature to stake money when challenging others sounds good. However, this would be very likely to be abused for RMT.

Yeah I had been matched with some people who did bring their Typhlosions and Excadrills to the Gyrados raid. Blew my mind how little people were ready to contribute to winning the raid. It’s like they are queueing up with high expectations of being carried and if they are too much heavy weight, they complain on the forums for raids being too difficult. I hope the devs may consider adding a team board where you can see the 6 Pokemon of people who signed up on the board for raids. People listed on the board could then be invited to join your link.

I did 9 out of the 10 raids with the randoms matchmaking and I can understand your frustration. However, I did the latest raid with people who were looking for an additional member on the Global Chat. The communication was amazing and I wouldn’t have imagined that people would get so excited when I set up tailwind once Braviary was below 25% 😂 I definitely suggest using Global for members as it’s a whole new experience to do raids with people who communicate. Am looking forward to the last two raid bosses with the boys from Global Chat.

A gesture of goodwill would have been appreciated for those who sunk in more time solely for the tablets. The word „compensation“ may be inadequate. The vanity is what it is. If I remember correctly there were changes made midway the Christmas event too and those who had turned in more swarm Pokemon than required post update received additional rewards. However this may no apply here as still 8 Pokemon are required for the cherish balls and solely the unique rewards were affected. Try to see it from our perspective, we wanted the tablets to receive the reward locked behind it. Spent 40 hours and burnt out throughout the grind to see the requirement halved 3 days later. Am I having the wrong perspective on this for feeling that my time investment was significantly devalued with this update? Although my communication here may sound as I am ranting here, that’s not my intention. I am trying to justify and communicate on why we feel like we do right now. As I said with my first comment here, the initial thread has been closed and the decision was made.

Easy to say for someone who hasn’t grinded the event yet. Good luck on the rat tablet 🫶 Some of us value our time and it appears it was badly invested which can be disappointing.

I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a slight compensation. We grinded for the tablets, sure those cherish balls are nice but those weren’t the main reason for the grind. Now the time spent for all tablets has been halved and jokes on those who spent 40 hours, now that it can be done in 24 hours. Why even reduce the number of Pokemon in the first place? It’s like showing the middlefinger to those who were ready to grind and sink the time. However, the reward vanity is the traditional lunar new year outfit with some oversized sweatpants which may justify lowering the number swarms to catch. Would have been nice to know upfront though so we’d know what to expect and not end up more disappointed. Nobody asked for a shiny as compensation. 5 additional cherish balls may have calmed the masses. The initial thread was closed and that’s it, which we’ll have to respect. The whole thing could still have been handled better.

The number of Legendary Beasts coming into the game won’t get any less. We’re already having 8 pages of Suicunes in the GTL. Maybe it’s too early to make a proposal like this but knowing the rise in numbers of Legendary Beasts and MOST of us not getting a shiny one in our lifetimes I thought it’d be nice to have an NPC or something of that kind that we can trade Legendary Beasts into to get another 1/30000 shot at receiving a shiny one in return. Gambled beasts would be erased with no return once turned in. This would give Legendary Beasts a stable pricing and dedicated and rich shiny hunters can give it a shot at gambling for a potential shiny return. This may encourage gambling on the game but then again, we already have slots and event bags.
