  1. This is great and all, but it requires intervention from devs. What I am suggesting is not as good, but doesn't require any work.
  2. @Luke @Azphiel @PoseidonWrath @DoubleJ @Stelian @Huargensy Your voice and input could really make a difference. Please speak up before 2023 starts.
  3. @Munya Please consider changing the 3 months tiering movements cycle for something like this in 2023: January OU/UU Move Up Cutoff point: 5% Move Down Cutoff point: 3.5% UU/NU Move Up Cutoff point: 6.5% Move Down Cutoff point: 2.0% February OU/UU Move Up Cutoff point: 5% Move Down Cutoff point: 3.5% UU/NU Move Up Cutoff point: 6.5% Move Down Cutoff point: 2.0% March OU/UU Move Up Cutoff point: 6.5% Move Down Cutoff point: 2.0% UU/NU Move Up Cutoff point: 5% Move Down Cutoff point: 3.5% We have seen for years the yoyoing and delays caused by our tiering movements. I'm imploring you to please not look the other way and change what could easily be fixed. The tiering movements parameters need to be set to reflect the current state of each metagame and I truly believe that what I am suggesting would help in that regard. Lower tiers are in dire need of stability in order to develop in a healthy manner. Let's not have Azumarill move down to NU the same month Jellicent moves up to OU again. TLDR: Movements in OU/UU should me more frequents than movements in UU/NU. Movements in OU/UU should be less likely when movements in UU/NU are more likely.
  4. No showdown tier in PSL 11, PSL 12, PSL 13 and PSL 14. So that's 4 seasons.
  5. @caioxlive13 This thread is to discuss the tiering movements for December 2022. Unless devs announce these changes in the very near future, your comment is completly irrelevant.
  6. A little bit like Electrode getting quick banned from NU xD
  7. I don't know if people forgot, but Haxorus was tested in the past.
  8. Maybe I missed it, but I don't think anyone argued that.
  9. Well, I'm mentionning it now XD Also, are we going back to regular usage cycles in 2023 (1.7% & 6.7 cutoff points for the first two months)? Please consider a new system that will desynchronize: OU/UU usage movements & UU/NU usage movements Move up & Move down cutoff points
  10. What's the justification for Dugtrio being banned from UU? Empoleon is gone. Porygon-Z is gone. Why is Dugtrio still banned?
  11. Would it be possible to get data based on ELO? For instance, what's Jolteon's usage/win rate from: 400 to 499 ELO? 500 to 599 ELO? 600 to 699 ELO? 700 to 799 ELO? 800 to 899 ELO? etc. Don't get me wrong. The data we have access to right now is a great step forward compared to what we had access to back in 2015. However, nothing has been done since? Why stop there? I understand it takes probably a lot of work and I really appreciate what has been done so far. I'm just wondering if there is a next step. Can we expect more? People have asked for weighed usage based on ELO for a while now and that was never realistic in the past, but why not now? Is it still impossible to implement or do devs/staff do not see this as a priority? I understand if it's not a priority, but some clarity on the matter would be appreciated.
  12. I used 4-0 > 7-4 and this is what I got for WC 5: OVERALL OU UU NU Dubs LC
  13. So right now, there are two teams getting qualified through qualifier. The first team gets qualified by winning the qualifier on Sunday, August 20th at 10 AM UTC. The second team gets qualified by winning the qualifier on Sunday, August 20th at 2 PM UTC. If two additional qualifiers get added, I guess they would be hosted on Saturday, August 19th at 10 AM UTC and 2 PM UTC. So for 16 selected teams, we would end up with this: Team 1: Qualified with donations Team 2: Qualified with donations Team 3: Qualified with donations Team 4: Qualified with donations Team 5: Qualified with donations Team 6: Qualified with donations Team 7: Qualified with donations Team 8: Qualified with donations Team 9: Qualified with donations Team 10: Qualified with donations Team 11: Qualified with donations Team 12: Qualified with donations Team 13: Qualified by winning the Saturday, August 19th at 10 AM UTC Qualifier. Team 14: Qualified by winning the Saturday, August 19th at 2 PM UTC Qualifier. Team 15: Qualified by winning the Sunday, August 20th at 10 AM UTC Qualifier. Team 16: Qualified by winning the Sunday, August 20th at 2 PM UTC Qualifier. I'm not saying this is happening, but just presenting the way I would do it.
  14. If that is something people would be interested in, it could be possible with some tweaks and help. I'll elaborate more in a few hours. Edit: Alright, since I want each team to represent a different region, in a qualifier where two teams represent the same region, only one can qualify. For that reason, if more teams get qualified through qualifiers, this mean we need to more qualifiers tournaments rather than qualified teams per tournament. I'm okay with two more qualifiers getting hosted as long as someone volonteers to host those.
  15. Oh since my donation was against DPP and there are 3 showdown options now, it would probably be best to put DPP in the negative donation range rather than donating for VGC.
