  1. I think it's pretty safe to say that this is not going to happen for the same reason that PC's won't be in secret bases any time soon. They don't want people being able to heal and quickly get back to grinding/hunting. There are arguments for and against this, but those can all be found in the correct thread.
  2. This has been discussed several times before, and it was eventually decided that 15-20 seconds returned per move would be fair. I don't know why this hasn't been implemented yet.
  3. I believe Kyu has confirmed that he wants to implement something like a barber, but it's not very high on his list.
  4. It looks fine to me. Is there something I'm not seeing?
  5. I assume it's not possible to use a 1.5x1.5 scale, but I don't know why. Could you explain?
  6. Personally, I find most of my great catches on nuzlockes. After I fail/complete the run, I just trade my good stuff over. Preventing us from trading seems... unnecessary.
  7. Can't you just click and drag the berries from your bag to the blender?
  8. This game is not centered around competitive gameplay like other games with a similar system (LoL comes to mind). This means that, outside of ranked matchmaking battles, there is no way and no reason to accurately measure a player's skill. On top of this, an ELO system isn't really necessary as we already a nearly-identical system system in matchmaking. Furthermore, nearly all active players have more than one character, which means more than one measurement for the same person. At least half have more than one account.
  9. Are you joking? If people wanted to just gamble online, there's plenty of other ways to do it. If a person is on PokeMMO, they obviously aren't there just for the gambling. Internet poker is a thing.
  10. I already have enough trouble keeping money in my pocket. I don't need a Blackjack habit to feed, too >.>
  11. At some point, people were annoyed that the summary stayed open and was the foremost or "active" window after a battle, meaning that pushing the arrow keys and trying to move around instead switched between the tabs of the summary screen. To combat this, the summary screen now closes after each use of a move in the field. Devs don't like to remove implemented features unless it's absolutely unnanimous that said feature was a bad idea -cough-berriesfarming-cough
  12. Just for clarity, how exactly does Future Sight work in each generation?
  13. There's a number of reasons this hasn't been implemented yet. The majority of them are something along the lines of: "No because economy and stuff."
  14. I think a better idea would be to have Key Items that can function as HM's, but don't require you to have a Pokemon with the move. Each item would either require you to have the corresponding HM to reach it (like having the Surf item on an island in the ocean, or the Strength item behind some rocks), or be available for purchase at the Battle Frontier. Some ideas for items would be: Machete/Hachet = Cut Rocket Boots or some shit = Fly Inflatable raft = Surf Dolly/Handcart = Strength Flashlight/Lantern = Flash Hammer = Rock Smash Something for Waterfall = Waterfall Scuba gear = Dive P.S. I totally stole this idea from Pokemon Zeta/Omicron. Good fanmade game if anyone's interested.
  15. I have to agree with these other guys. The only time your opponent's Pokemon levels can vary is when you are challenging them to a Normal Mode battle. If you are looking for someone to have a Normal Mode battle with around your level, I suggest going to places in the game where a player is likely to have Pokemon of a similar level (like going to the 8th gym looking for a battle around 40-45, for example). If you are challenging players in Vermilion City to Normal Mode battles, they will often reject you because they are competitive players looking for competitive, Tournament Mode battles. I mean no offense when I say this, but challenging someone to a Normal Mode battle usually means you're a noob. Most competitive players don't even bother battling noobs. Tl;dr Don't challenge competitive players to Normal Mode battles.
  16. Despite what many people think, High Overlord Desu does not actually have any control over how the forums are set up beyond checking a few boxes that come with the base forum map. In other words, it's up to the creator of the type of forum we use, not up to Desu.
  17. What's the difference between NU, UU, and OU points, though? You can't very well have different prizes for each type of point. If you don't have different prizes though, there would still be no reason to play NU or UU.
  18. That would be the easiest way to go about it, but people that log on after the message had been sent out would miss it. A small problem that doesn't really matter too much, but a problem nonetheless.
  19. This discussion is not about whether or not a feature should be implemented right now. It's about whether or not it should be implemented at all. The time at which it's implemented is completely up to the devs. Players have no say in that.
  20. That's exactly why it's worth implementing. Can you really honestly say that you wouldn't ever use the feature? I mean, you could just list all the stats for any of your own Pokemon too, but you never would if you could just link it.
  21. The only way this could possibly be accurate is if you had a monitor the size of a travel trailer. Seriously, who the hell has a monitor that size?
  22. If we're talking about the same thing, that's simply not true. Monitors are always proportional. If you open the same window on a small monitor and a larger monitor, that window will take up the exact same percentage of the screen. It's simply how it works. Because of this, the chat window on PokeMMO will not be any bigger on a small screen. P.S. If your chat window is taking up a large portion of your screen, it's likely because you resized it to see more messages. If not, I don't know. After all, I'm an engineer, not a programmer.
  23. To add another con, the devs usually try very hard to make all new implementations as lore-friendly as possible. If they cannot find some way to make a new feature at least semi-believable in terms of Poke-science, it likely won't happen. Just food for thought.
  24. While I agree putting them all in one place would be a bad idea, I don't think placing on the very edges of the galaxy is a good idea, either. That's just unnecessary. However, I think placing them closer to civilization is a fine idea. That being said, not all of them need to be moved. The shard tutor on Six Island is fine where it is, as is the one on One Island. It's just Five and Seven that are ridiculously far. Even moving the red shard tutor to the Chansey House instead of way out in the water would be enough for me. I mean, he's a hiker anyways. None of them have Surf.
  25. Seriously, this is ridiculous. They had to make every shard tutor out the middle of nowhere. It's pointless and doesn't help do anything except rack up play hours.
