  4. As long as chansey is 31 HP/Def/Sp Def, your fine. The "golden rule" of comps is to have 31 speed. There are exceptions like chansey, but most things need 31 speed like arcanine. The fire dog (arcanine) needs at least 31 in HP and if you want the attacking one, you need 25+ in attack as well. If you want the def arcanine, you can run 31 in HP/def/sp def/speed.
  5. Forretress and Scizor are the same type, so it is useless to have both on your team. If I were you, I would axe Scizor and keep forretress. Replace Bide with Toxic because you will not have time to set up a Bide on your opponent. So the moveset and nature should look like... Forretress - make it hold leftovers Nature: Impish Ability: Sturdy EVs: You have it correct Moveset: Toxic, Spikes, Rapid Spin, Explosion Slowbro does its job well, but people enjoy using Chansey. You won't have time to do a calm mind set up because the match goes by so fast and you need your defences now instead of later! Chansey gives you that Sp Def you need right away, so I am going to give you a moveset for chansey... Chansey - make it hold leftovers Nature: Bold Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 Sp Def Moves: (Toxic or Thunder Wave)/Aromatherapy/(Softboiled or Wish)/Seismic Toss Eliminate Slowbro and Scizor, they are not that good in the tier. Due to some steel types like Forretress and Skarmory taking over, arcanine has become a good choice. When you run arcanine, you need to have extremespeed just in case someone decides to run a flail set on you. There are two ways you can run an arcanine.... 1. Offensive a) Held Item: Life Ball or Choice Band Nature: Jolly/Adamant Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 attack/252 speed Moves: Extremespeed/Flame Wheel/Crunch/(Double Edge or Return) b) Held Item: Leftovers Nature: Relaxed (Thank you @xStarr for the correction) Ability: Intimidate EVs: 248 HP/8 Sp Attack/252 Def Moves: Extremespeed/Morning Sun/Overheat/Toxic If I were you, I would do some research about comps and sets, but I have a YouTube channel called Roy Rogers News and I was covering two OU matches. I hope you can identify the sets used in the battles and I think this can give you a good idea about team building... (word of advise, don't run BurntZebra's Crobat yet until you are well versed in the OU tier)

  9. Good morning Cheels, thank you for the comps you bred for me back then (I can link them in game for you). I was still trying to establish myself on PokeMMO at the time. I do have some unfortunate news about TeamSpeak. TS is no longer provided publicly, so if you want to speak to me, we might have to schedule a time to go on Discord. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Another update, I have 3 channels instead of 1 now. Enjoy them at your viewing pleasure: 1. Roy Rogers News: Headlines, Tournament coverage and commentary, and Update coverage 2. I hope she is doing well. Good luck on your shiny hunt!
  10. Before you watch the video, I must give an intro about the After Story series: The after story series is about locating the remaining hidden items that I missed while mentioning some "behind the scenes" events. A lot of planning takes place when I do a series. I can tell you how I came up with certain concepts. I hope to mention more "behind the scenes" content while going through the after story. Items found in this episode: Water Stone: 14:20 Max Ether: 23:08 Max Elixir: 30:02 Thundestone: 31:28 Leftovers: 30:18; 34:17 Macho Brace: 35:56 PP Up: 37:14 Soothe Bell: 40:22
  11. Good catch, I can do a couple of adjustments. I made the video for people who want to see the process in action rather than reading a wall of text. Since I am a YouTuber, I figured that my footage would be helpful for not just me, but for other guide makers that want a motion picture of the process at work.
  12. I can add that in my text segment though
  13. Thank you for the correction, I will make a note of it in my vid via annotation and description.
  14. The Art of Collecting Volcanic Ash Some people may not know about this activity, so I am asked about my "glass desk in my secret base." I tell them about the Pretty desk and how to obtain it. This idea sparked a guide about this very topic. I was planning for a year about how I can approach this topic and I did it. So, I am going to provide the Ash information down below. After you have read this guide, you can become familiar with the crafting process as a whole. Here are some fundamental questions about this activity that I am going to discuss.... 1. What is a Soot Sack? 2. How do I collect the ash? 3. How do exchange the ash for prizes? 4. Speaking about prizes, what can I get? 5. How much ash can I get from each "section?" 6. Can I use repel and if not, what is an alternative to this? Figure A Figure B -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 1) What is a Soot Sack? Answer: Its a key item used to collect ash. You obtain it if you go to Route 113 and to the house shown in Figure A and talk the guy in Figure B. You can "Use" the Soot Sack item to count the amount of ash you have.... Here is Bulbapedia's definition: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 2) How do I collect the ash? Answer: If you see a "puff" ( or ), then you can collect ash from it. One puff is equivalent to one step in ash. Question 3) How do exchange the ash for prizes? Answer: Go to the house shown in Figure A on Route 113 and then talk to the guy you got your Soot Sack from (Figure B). Question 4) Speaking about prizes, what can I get? Answer: Here is a list courtesy of Bulbapedia: Question 5) How much ash can I get from each "section?" Answer: Here is the maps. (I did a lot of trial and error to get to these numbers) Route 113: Jagged Pass: 6. Can I use repel and if not, what is an alternative to this? Answer: You are not allowed to use repel, but you are allowed to carry a level 100 Muk with the Stench ability or a level 100 Torkoal with the White Smoke ability. Answer 2: You can also hold a Cleanse Tag which can help to repel encounters while collecting ash. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Figure A Figure B
  15. This time I actually taped this tournament, so stay tuned! - I also have 1 important life tip in the video that may safe your life. - Hint: Car engine and garage Congratulations.... 1. DoctorPBJ for winning 1st place! 2. LifeStyle for winning 2nd place! 3. OrangeManiac and BlueBreath for sharing 3rd place!
  16. Good evening Imperial, I hate to be the guy with bad news, but I did not. - Congradulations RISE for your win! Sorry I couldn't be there to witness it though...
  17. I did because there is a person with your name... I am glad I got a confirmation on that. (I apologise for the circle, I was using a touch pad on my computer)
  18. Yes to all of this. I feel that these will help make the game more balanced. Let me go into full detail as to why @OrangeManiac is right on the money... 1. Paralyze: I had seen in my commentaries where something like Gyarados has been paralyzed, but with the help of a few DDs, it can out speed a Slowbro. You have to have a Jolt or Starmie or your toast. Make Gyarados' Para +3 DD have 1/2 the speed of a Slowbro Bold and no speed evs. I am a firm believer in punishing pokemon for being paralyzed unless your name is Machamp, Ursaring, or Swellow. 2. Confusion: AGH... I hate this... Some newer player battles me, but he has a Tentacruel with wrap and supersonic. I am like, "I have a Jolteon, I should kill this.." Bam! Wrap and Supersonic. When I wanted to do a Tbolt, nope, I got hurt by confusion and he finishes me... Call my situation unusual, but it can happen again. 1/3 gives me a chance to land a hit compared to 1/2... 3. Burn: Yes again, burn is not poison. Burn should not mimic poison. With that being said, I agree with the reduction. I am not sure if Orange wants this, but if possible, lets cut the burn damage even further, perhaps 4.10%. Burn should not do a ton of damage. I want to add one more thing.... 4. Frozen: Axe it. There is no reason to keep it. All it does is makes your opponent immobilised, but we already have "Fully Paraylzed" prompt. If the devs want to keep it, at least increase the defrost chance to at least 85%.
  19. It could be Sinnoh because of the HM Defog. People tell me how the bridge looks just like Unova's bridge, so maybe its Unova. We have to wait and see.
  20. Thanks for the contribution to the discussion. The reason I made this suggestion is due to the fact that Reward Point to yen conversion is a basic Pay to Win and I wanted to make an alternative suggestion that would make more sense. On the other hand, I am also not taking to account the possible inflation of the yen making it weak. If this feature is not implemented, I understand where the devs are coming from.
  21. Maybe the devs can make it to where the TMs are not tutor moves. IE: Skipping Will-O-Wisp and much more tutor moves.
  22. Battle Point => PokeYen Conversion Good evening PokeMMO! Its been a while since I thought of an idea, but this thread did spark something... Reward points you gain by Real Money and Battle Points you earn by merit and skill. So I thought that there should be a Battle Point converter or NPC that is like a teller. I was thinking of the NPC by the Battle Point Tutor ladies... Here is the catch, you can only convert Battle Points to PokeYen, not the other way around. If the devs need to borrow a script, here is a sample... Teller: 1 "Hello, welcome to the Battle Frontier!" 2 "I am the teller of the Battle Frontier and I would be happy to convert your Battle Points into PokeYen (or in game currency)." 3 "Tell me the amount you want to convert..." 100BP = 5k (I am going to suggest a drop down box just like the casino clerk in Celadon) 4 "I hope to see you again sometime." If there are any holes in my idea Tell me if there are any concerns that I didn't address. I would be happy to hear them.
  23. Mike has a point here, this game is far from a p2w (or Pay to Win). Unless you want President Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch, or Warren Buffett to enjoy this game. As soon as I hear this, I cannot help but to think of Trump's 10 year old son Barron. Melania Trump (his mom), is very loving towards her son so Barron would be the wealthiest person on PokeMMO. I heard on an interview, that Barron is "into computers" and Pokemon is usually marketed to 10 year olds. I would not be surprised if he becomes a player of this game. No betterment in the PokeMMO economy, just pure PokeYen. Yes it would be great advertising that a "First Son" is playing PokeMMO, but it would defeat the main concept of PokeMMO, "no matter if your rich or poor in real life, you should still make it in PokeMMO!" The devs can copyright that phrase because it represents PokeMMO to a T. Now, I think a more plausible suggestion is a conversion between Battle Points and PokeYen because that you can do in game without any monetary gain irl. All you need is a good knowledge base in team building and breeding skills. It is a grind to do, so I think it qualifies for such a suggestion.
  24. Thanks, its much appreciated! There is also a thread on forums dedicated to the series:
