  1. Implement Prism Scale for Milotic I would like to make the lives of the PokeMMO developers much easier. I know there are mixed feelings about what I am about to say, but my belief is that PokeMMO was meant enhance communication with players instead of Pokemon's version of "America's Next Top Model." Since I am not a huge fan of Pokemon Emerald's beauty pageant I am going propose an alternative plan that was implemented in generation 5, implement the Prism Scale. I would safely assume the whole purpose of PokeMMO is communication and trading a prism scale would help enhance the message of gaining new friends. I researched a question that perplexed me all these years as a Pokemon enthusiast, "why does Nintendo put a heavy emphasis on evolution via trading?" According to my research, Nintendo wanted to enhance communication with its player base which is a good thing. I think PokeMMO should put a much heavier emphasis on the communication aspect rather than implementing "America's Next Top Model." How can we acquire the Prism Scale in game? I have a couple of some plans on how to implement this prism scale. Since the developers of PokeMMO put a heavy emphasis on effort, I have some plans under my sleeve..... Plan A) Implement the Prism Scale in the Battle Frontier's Prize Corner for 2,600 BP. Plan B) Talk to the curator of the Art Museum in Lilycove City. I have a script in mind for him.... Curator's Script: "Why hello young artist in the making! I want to decorate these paintings with DeepSeaScales. Do you mind if I ask you to give me 30 DeepSeaScales? I will reward you with some of my precious Prism Scales I aquired over the years. Do you want to give me 30 DeepSeaScales?" There should be a box that lets you answer either yes or no. If yes: "Thank you young artist in the making! Here is my token of appreciation." If no: "Its okay, I'll find another alternative to help make this painting stand out." Plan C) Communicate with this fisherman in Pacifidlog City. I have a sample script for him as well.... Fisherman: "Hello, I caught some fish with some unusual scales. I was having a chat with an expert in scales and I found out my scales are super rare! I'll let you have one of my prism scales for just $80,000! Do you want to buy one of my super rare scales?" Put a box that lets you answer either yes or no. If yes: "Enjoy one of my super rare scales!" If no: "I am sorry to take up your time. Have a nice day." What are the approximate repercussions for implementing the Prism Scale? Each of my plans have some sort of grind factor in them meaning that the implementation of this scale with one of my plans would boost productivity for individuals that do not care about competitive play (except for Plan A). If Plan B is implemented, then we can expect some growth in people who would like to shard grind, knowing that each item they receive is a win-win situation. If Plan C is implemented, then this would encourage newer players to pay PokeYen for an item that will help them in their quest to complete the dex. Concluding Points: Here are some points I would like for everyone to take home: I approximate a sudden boost in player morale in the sport of grinding for a reward of completing the dex which will lure players into the art of the grind. As of right now, we don't have a real lure in the game to make us want to grind more. We usually have people who are extremely frustrated and disenfranchised with the game due to the grind. We need a straight forward reward so that way players can get the satisfaction of completing their dex and eventually, a satisfaction in seeing what else they can grind for. This Prism Scale implementation could bring back some of the older player base and overall increase PokeMMO's popularity. One final point, I would like to enhance communication with fellow players by evolving their Feebas via trading while holding a prism scale.
  2. Oh my... Its that Zehkar guy, quick RUN!
  3. I am going to be away for the weekend, but I look forward to coming back to PokeMMO!

  4. Since this tournament is not automated, I am going to post the Spring Fever Series Finals tournament footage. Enjoy at your viewing pleasure....
  5. I am working on the Spring Fever Series Final tournament footage. It might be released to the public either tonight or tomorrow (American Time). I am working on the footage as fast as possible, but at the same time, making sure the quality goes well. I hope you enjoy the footage!

Good news, the tournament is on YouTube!

  6. Its been a pleasure commentating on some of the Spring Fever tournaments! Keep up the good work!
  7. Nice suggestion, however there are some reasons in my view why it might not be implemented.. 1. Hoenn is bigger than Kanto, so there wouldn't be much room for the devs to implement a cave or a tree in Kanto. 2. How would you own a house? Using Secret Power on an abandoned house wouldn't make any sense compared to using Secret Power on a little hole in a cave or on a tree. 3. How is owning a house adventurous? Living in a cave or tree is exotic, living in a house is not that exciting. 4. It would ruin the name "Secret Base" and we would have to call it a "Secret House" which sounds a bit strange. 5. I know that location you took the picture at. Secret bases have to be away from a Pokemon Center and that place is north of a poke center (North of Island 7 near the Battle Tower). If you want to have a secret base, locate it away from a Pokemon Center. We do have islands in Kanto, but Resort Glorious has a NPC resident and it wouldn't make sense digging up a ditch in her backyard. Also in Island 5, there is a Steelix grave and it would be disrespectful for us to dig a ditch there. Bond Bridge and the Berry Forest could work. North of Island 1 would not work due to Ember Spa being near by. Treasure Island could work (the island below Island 1's Poke Center). Island 2 cannot work due to an elderly resident north of the island. South of Island 7 could work. In total, the developers would have only four places to work with. In Hoenn, there are numerous places that work for making secret bases (which could prove point 1). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, I just don't see this working out from a developmental standpoint. Maybe there might be holes in my argument and I would be happy to discuss them, but I think I covered some of the main counterarguments.
  8. I would like more 1 VS 1 tournaments. It puts a lot of pressure and decision making in a competitive player. Maybe even make an interesting twist like make it a monotype or a flying/Levitate 1 VS 1.
  9. Link Skype A variation of Base Skype, but only with links Here are some examples as to certain scenarios where it might be necessary... Scenario 1: Just wanted to check out how KaynineXL is doing.... Scenario 2: Helping out someone who is new to the game. I think this is good for better communication and I think links should not be just restricted for duelling purposes. If Noad wants me to see her collection of cats in game, she can invite me to a link and then I can skype into her sprite. I had this idea when I was helping out a newer player and at the same time, I wanted to go do an Island Run. I also have friends who are extremely busy and I would like to see how they are doing. I have a general concept of how to do this... Step 1: Go to "Community" Step 2: (would be nice to add this option) Go to "Link Video" Step 3: There will be three options: "Activate Link Video", "Disable Link Video", or "Cancel" Step 4: Click "Activate Link Video" and a screen about the size of your friend list screen should appear.... Thank you zibox for being a extra! What happens if your in a private meeting with someone in game and you don't want to be rude and kick the person from the link? Not a problem! Do the following steps.... Step 1: Go to "Community" Step 2: Go to "Link Video" Step 3: There will be three options: "Activate Link Video", "Disable Link Video", or "Cancel" Step 4: Go to "Disable Link Video" and now you can have a personal meeting with the person in question. If you don't want to take the time to do these steps, you can just "Leave Link", but as a courtesy, it is advised that you disable the link video so that way the person in question does not get offended. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Overall, Link Skype is in my view extremely helpful to those who are new to the game and need you to guide them or for people who want to meet someone, but also not want to deviate from their in game activities.
  10. Where: East of Mauville using a Super Rod When: Feb 28th, 2016 7:21pm Central Time
  11. Here is another tip, EV train. When you EV train, you could bump into one or two shinies. So far, I bumped into one shiny and that was my shiny Carvana... If you want to catch a shiny, either EV train or shiny hunt.
  12. I usually let the Trump crowd (Rendiz. Leviiticus, etc) suggest this, but I'll suggest it anyways... How about a Donald Trump's toupee in the gift shop?
  13. One question, how will the developers have time to code all the tiles the way how Orre was coded? Orre was a 3d region instead of a 2d one which makes it quite a daunting task to code into PokeMMO. I appreciate your creativity, but in my view, its not a realistic goal. Even if we were able to code the Orre region, here are some questions that I would like for you to answer: How are we going to code shadow pokemon in PokeMMO? How can we "fly" since in the Orre region, there are no gyms and no HMs meaning no fly? Last question, how do we transfer regions from Orre (like where would be the dock to go to Kanto or Hoenn)?
  14. That's because something like this takes a while to implement. (since we don't have the Hoenn dex, the developers need to find an alternative way to receive the starters).
  15. I suggested the implementation of Johto starters...
  16. 1. Have the ability to skype into your base and vise versa. 2. Changing the Trainer Tips signs (for the newer players): Part 1 ; Part 2 ; Part 3 3. Link battles with fellow players instead of NPCs (ie: DoubleJ and JSTUD VS Frags and BlueJim)
  17. Welcome to PokeMMO, I hope you enjoy your stay! Please stay away from PWO (Pokemon World Online) and PRO (Pokemon Revolution Online), they have nefarious purposes (like having staff scam pokemon away from you). I did an interview with a guy from PWO who had his shiny Kingdra scammed away. Please check this video out on my Roy Rogers News channel. PokeMMO is extremely ethical compared to the competition.
  18. Moetal is a confirmed Screwattack employee, I knew it!
  19. Nice, my Nintendo 64 console I have at home is the funtastic black colour. (I've had this exact console model since my childhood and it stuck with me for all these years)... (this is what my console looks like, but I don't own this exact console, this is a picture I found on Google Images)
  20. I would like to introduce my topic by answering the poll's question, my first Nintendo console I ever owned was the Nintendo 64! The Nintendo 64 introduced me to the world of Pokemon and here I am today! My theory is that the console you first owned would increase your chances of liking a franchise. Pokemon as a franchise debuted when the Nintendo 64 was just coming out. As I grew older, I started to understand the inner workings of Pokemon as a whole and printed articles from IGN about Pokemon Stadium. Believe it or not, Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 taught me about the general competitive mechanics (like type match-ups, status moves, etc). PokeMMO has been doing most of the teaching about the competitive scene, but sometimes you can use some of the general knowledge you acquired from the older games (for the exception of the Physical/Special split, Competitive Items, etc). Sometimes I felt like I was in Earl's classroom when I was being taught about the competitive scene (Earl was a character in Pokemon Stadium 2 that had his own school). It may sound strange, but I still have that console today and it still works. I pop in Pokemon Stadium one day, The World is Not Enough another day, Tom and Jerry Fists of Furry the day after that and so on. In fact, me typing this post is making me want to play those games, but there is one huge setback to me doing this, it would make me feel extremely lonely... I enjoy communicating with my fellow PokeMMO players. Just to give a few examples, I love receiving mail, asking for screenshots of people's sprites for upcoming YouTube projects, spectating battles, acquiring comps, etc. I am not saying that I love constant communication, but just a PM every now and then is satisfactory for me.
  21. I trusted him in that photo. if he takes something, I'll call you so you can help me get my stuff back. How does that sound?
  22. @Noad I would like to leave the streaming market open to anyone who wants to stream, I just do simple YouTube videos. I mean not to say that I could do this in the future, but as of right now, I'll leave the streaming market open.
  23. Base Skype All property belongs to BlueBreath: How do you activate a Secret Base Skype on either side? BlueBreath can access his base by going to "Community" and then add an option called "Secret Base" and there will be three options, "Activate Video", "Disable Location Tracker", or "Cancel" (we'll get to the Location Tracker in the second paragraph). BlueBreath clicks the "Activate Video" option and then he can activate a pop up screen of his secret base. I think this is a good way for BlueBreath to check up on his base if he wants to buy something for it like a mat or table and if one of his friends tells him, "I made a surprise visit to your base, but I wish you were around..." I have an idea for BlueBreath's friend...... If you want to call in the host of the base, he or she can tap into your computer and then there will be two options, "See Owner of Base" or "Cancel." The friend can spectate battles that the owner is in or battles around him/her. There is one thing the owner can do if he/she wants to do a private battle or not broadcast their location, they can go to "Community", "Secret Base", and then "Disable Location Tracker." At this point, the owner cannot be tracked via Secret Base computer. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The reason why I suggested this was due to the fact that people keep visiting my base and I am far from Hoenn. I want an option where I can check up on my base. The Base Screen should be the size of your Friends List Screen...
