Out of curiosity, is there a technical/performance reason why you started your 57:35 video by capping your FPS limit to 60? Does that somehow improve the time, or just something for the video?

Just so my PC can handle recording and playing the game at the same time

Also, I have a feeling this is a dumb question, but what's the "Snowscape" move you mention in the team comp on Blastoise? I can't find any mention of such a move in Blastoise's Pokedex entry. I tried watching the video of your WR run to see what you're doing with it, but you don't even use Blastoise in the Opelucid fight there like you recommended in your guide. Is this a typo?

That's interesting because it's definitely not there for me:

Although having done some more research, it turns out this move was called "Hail" until earlier this year, and I'm using custom strings, so perhaps my strings.xml still has the outdated "Hail" name! I guess that solves the mystery.

Thanks, that's good to know about it.

You should use less colors it looks too messy.

I have no doubts about the quality of the information tho, I'm just saying it would serve your purpose to make it all look cleaner (less different colors and character size).
Thanks for sharing 💖

I really like this guide! The team is super solid, and even my first crappy run (on mobile, confused about some of the instructions and forgot to ability pill my Weezing) did it in 1h 25min 😄

I'm guessing the new shortcuts make Sinnoh a lot more viable than Hoenn now. Excited to see how this guide evolves! 🙂

Yeah looking at routing 33 gyms for a consistent run.

This is the current 32 gym draft. Have had several people run it and have time for rich trainers at the end. Just trying to find a good 33rd gym to add.

Thanks for the guide man, just saw it talked about on patrouskis stream. Quick question though, does the rain dance blastoise need to have low defenses/hp ivs? There was something mentioned about that. Could you explain, thanks again.

Your non-water spout one needs to be less bulky then you water spout one to influence targeting from ai

So hypothetically the bulky blastoise could be 31/0/31/31/31/31 and the rain setter 29/0/29/31/29/31?  Would that difference be enough to get the ai to target it? Sorry to ask a again, I'm breeding squirtle and want to be sure.

The bigger the difference the higher the chances are for it to target the rain dance Blastoise
For example vs a solar beam +spa nature tangrowth level 87
Lvl 87 85 SpA Tangrowth Solar Beam vs. 6 HP / 0 SpD Blastoise: 212-252 (70.6 - 84%) for a 6x31 Blastoise

Lvl 87 85 SpA Tangrowth Solar Beam vs. 6 HP / 0 SpD Blastoise: 236-278 (84.8 - 100%) for a 9hp 9 spd Blastoise
This will always target the 9hp 9spd Blastoise

Whereas if your blastoise is 25 in hp and spa
Lvl 87 85 SpA Tangrowth Solar Beam vs. 6 HP / 0 SpD Blastoise: 218-258 (74.1 - 87.7%)

it could low roll 74.1% on the 25/25 Blastoise and high roll 84% on the 31/31 Blastoise leading to it targeting the 6x31 Blastoise 41% of the time.

This doesn't account for iRNG crits but this is impossible to account for when breeding.
There is no 1 correct iv differential as there are so many different possibilities to account for. therefore the vague recommendation of BW to be high and BR to be low

What is the reason for the sp.def evs on HYdregion?

need to be dumped somewhere, can chuck em in atk of spd. cant throw em on spa cause you'll kill weezing on crit and cant in def cause it wont die to explosion and cant in spe cause its maxed

Great guide!!! you really put a lot of effort in this 🙂
I have 1 question, something like 30hp and 30 sp.def in weezing could work? Or you need the 31s?

at 30/30 you'll die to a crit surf 12.5% of the time you can reduce your spa evs but that may cause other problems
