Tier List update August 2016

So, as on schedule, I will announce the Tier list changes of August in this thread.

These changes are made according to the Usage gathered from 7th July - 6th August.

A list of this months Tier Changes:

 

Moving up to Over Used: (?? -> OU)

• Milotic
  Note: Milotic was released mid-month of usage and its usage highly indicates a OU number if it were available for the whole time.

 

Moving down from Over Used to Borderline Used (OU -> BL)

• Ursaring
  Note: Ursaring is instantly banned to Borderline 1. 

 

Moving up from Never Used to Under Used (NU -> UU)

• Quagsire
• Nidoqueen
  Note: This means Quagsire and Nidoqueen are now Under Used and no longer allowed in Never Used.

 

Moving down from Under Used to Never Used (UU -> NU)

• Kabutops
• Hitmontop
• Blastoise
• Lapras
  Note: This means these pokemon are now allowed in Never Used.

 

Additionally:

 

• Houndoom is being banned from Under Used to Borderline 1 on a final verdict. 
  The absense of Houndoom has not been overwhelmingly different for UU, but the Tier Council feels that the meta is more diverse now.
• The Kingler Discussion thread will be locked as it is not deemed ban worthy in NU.
• A Zangoose Discussion thread will be opened shortly.
• A Snorlax Disucssion thread is being worked on, defining the problems of Snorlax is very tricky so the Tier Council will need some time to formulate a proper Original case, this is planned for the coming week.

Meganium, Feraligatr and Typhlosion will be starting out in the Over-Used Tier, as not to disrupt the current Under-Used Summer Ball Tournament.

In two weeks the Tier Council will discuss the future of these and alongside Usage changes we might see some of them drop down to Under Used.
