Raichuforyou
Would you mind if I took the sound files for this and attempted to make everything loop? Editing loop data doesn't seem too hard. GlitchyDorime 1 Link to comment
NGAME
its possible to do this but with Gen5? because I want to try something if its possible :3 Link to comment

Editing loop data doesn't seem too hard. It's not that it's difficult, it's that libGDX doesn't seem to support it yet for non-MIDI files. You're free to mess around though. 14 hours ago, NGAME said: its possible to do this but with Gen5? because I want to try something if its possible :3 You want to mod unova? On paper, it should be possible, but I haven't really tried. NGAME 1 Link to comment
Xatu
Isnt this mod, you know.... copyrighted? Shouldnt we not allow this to be listed on the forums because were basically distributing copyrighted content? Just saiyan. Link to comment

Zelinka
Great mod :) really enjoying it. Although i have to say it's a little jarring when you enter a new area and the music just cuts out. Other than that great work thanks for making it. Link to comment

Mariyoo
This will gonna be updated to the new audio system? Link to comment

Afaik, they only changed the way the game reads GBA sounds. So the unmodded track will sound less like garbage. But this mod will work the same. Link to comment

Daedalus007
Mod is no longer working as of the latest patch with the 'new' audio system. If they offer a 'legacy audio' option then we can use this again but otherwise I don't see it being updated :( Link to comment

Eggplant
I'll test later. @Desu any idea why this broke? Can I fix something in the mod or do I need to wait for an update? Link to comment
Daedalus007
The new music system is...passable. Wish we still had the 'legacy audio' system available for those who want to use a mod like this. Or, ya know, be able to read music from HG/SS if we have those roms available instead of only supporting the GBA games. Link to comment

The mod doesn't work. No music at all when it is enabled. It worked fine prior to the 27-Feb-2018 update (hotfix didn't change anything for allowing this mod to work). soto 1 Link to comment

I'm at work so I can't say for sure. But 2 replies in the thread say it just stopped working after the update. Probably the latter? Link to comment

Daedalus007
Both of the mods use .OGG files Perhaps something was changed coding-wise that broke the supported OGG format or something? If we could get details on what was changed audio-wise, we could re-encode the music files in the proper format so that they would work properly with the new system. I'll post a console.log as soon as I can. Lemme get one generated first. EDIT: I've put links to pastebin since I can't upload simple txt files for some reason. So far nothing in either log file seems to indicate any problems/issues. I'm guessing that the reason the music isn't loading with the new engine is some changes made to OGG format support in the new engine. And yes I enabled 'verbose' output for loading mods. console.log output: https://pastebin.com/wtD6LHKg mods.log output:https://pastebin.com/7DUUssv5 Edited March 1, 2018 by Daedalus007 Link to comment
Desu
I think I see it and it's silly. If you change the bgm volume while it's playing does it work temporarily? Link to comment
Daedalus007
I did a quick test to make sure it wasn't the OGG format being bugged. I extracted a single music file (Poke Center) and converted it to 16-bit PCM WAV file and tested it. No sound in the PokeCenter and default unmodded sound (using the new engine) outside of the center. Same result with the OGG file. For whatever reason the music isn't playing when being used as an 'override' over the original audio. Just tested changing BGM while it is playing and that doesn't fix the issue. Still no sound the entire time. Link to comment
