Basicaly an ingame buyable news paper that will contain certain informations. It is a known fact that pretty much everything is in the forums yet it is highly optimistic to think everyone will be using it, so i came up with an idea, here is the concept: 1- Self refreshing news whenever something comes up (like mewtwo or a swarm) [spoiler] yes the info can be seen from the TV it can't be expected from players to sit infront of the TV the whole day to confirm a swarm[/spoiler] 2- A section to notify players if there is an official event coming up. 3- Allowing players to post their unofficial tournaments to that section. 4- A section that gives info about certain guides or linking it. these are most of the essential things i can think of atm pretty sure more needed things will be pointed out with some feedback A decent fee (Poke yen) to buy the newspaper, can be bought daily or registered as monthly. How will it work ; if the newspaper bought as daily, the informations will be accessable for 24 hours and will expire when the time is done. Monthly however, will drain the required fee each day in order to keep the paper going... However, if the player who purchased as monthly doesn't have the required fee, the paper will expire and the fee will be cut from the user on the next purchase ( for example ; 1k fee for each payment, upon late payment the next fee will be 2k) Pros : Perfect for money sink and highly usefull Cons : Nothing i can think of Here are some examples for the headlights : Front Page : Team Lyle is on a winning streak Front Page upon mewtwo encounter : <nickname> has captured the rogue mewtwo, but can he get a hold of the mewtwo? lets see who can entertain mewtwo / <nickname> has defeated <nickname> and the mewtwo found this new trainer more suitable as a trainer, trainers whom wants to prove their worth to mewtwo can battle its trainer at cerulean cave channel 7. Front Page upon a swarm : Breaking News, baltoy's which were considered as extinct has made an appearence at the tanoby ruins. Second Page : Our talented trainers have gathered several pokemon to cheer up smee. Smee is now a happy smeargle and playing along with his friends Third Page : An epic clash will take place in Sliph Co. today at 11 PM EST. more details in our official page <link> Third Page upon the time of the tourney is at hand : The arena will be ready for our trainers to beging their clash in # minutes. Forth Page : Trainers decided to have a little showdown among themselfs to measure their skills. Fifth Page : Can't get an egg? our skilled trainers have the information you require, more can be found in our official page <link> Note : Mewtwo appearences, system announcements, Upcoming official/unofficial tournaments will keep on refreshing the pages Also, since mewtwo's system announcements doesn't show up if the player has logged in after the announcement was made, with this mewtwo can be located. Sub-Note : if mewtwo hasn't changed ownership within 5 minutes, the newspaper will announce the location. Note 2 : The order of the pages were randomized upon consideration the order can be changed.

References for this suggestion: Not too long ago there was a suggestions calling for swarms information to be relayed to players in game as a "money sink", via a "cell phone" type system, this suggestion can be found here, this is suggested by Fluffyknowsyou. A very recent suggestions by RacheLucario includes moving the Mewtwo Alert/chat spam to a separate chat for legendaries (this could be useful later on when there are more than one event style legendaries imo. LeGaryOak's info on swarms can be located in this thread. Suggestion: I believe that swarms should be announced just like Mewtwo is, this would be most beneficial if it were implemented alongside RacheLucario's suggestion into a separate chat, but either way I wish for swarms to be easily accessible to those who are currently completing other tasks or already multi tasking. Our most recent update (economic rework etc) allowed for many multitasking options in game (payday/money farm while breeding, and/or while farming Pokemon, and/or while shiny hunting, and/or while EV training, etc). I think this is a good direction for the game and makes the grinding aspects a bit less mind numbing (as opposed to only being able to breed (BikeMMO) before, or only being able to sit at slots, etc). I think the devs/staff involved in development should continue this path and this is a way for them to do it. As a player it's very frustrating to need one or two Pokemon from swarms as it's tedious to constantly check the TVs for swarms (usually you don't find one) and then when you are in time to see that one is occurring it's usually Pokemon you do not want to hunt. I believe it's realistic to assume that the majority of players who have interest in swarms are interested in them for finite amounts of time (to obtain a specific Pokemon for a dex entry, for pvp/breeding, for selling/trading, etc), I will also assume most of the time the players looking for swarms are not interested in every swarm but a select few at a time (usually one or two). These assumptions have lead me to believe that swarms implemented via Fluffyknowsyou's method (referenced above), as a "money sink", would not be viable long term. I believe that for a period of time people will pay to be notified of swarms but I do not believe it will last as a money sink for 99% of players in game. I do not believe it will last for the reasons I stated above; players only want to chase swarms for specific Pokemon, and for a short period of time. I do want to note this suggestion is requesting for something in game to be easier but I hope it's understood that I do not want it easier so that I can be lazy, I want it to be easier so that I can legitimately make use of it as I don't believe I should (or others should) be forced to stand in front of a TV (etc) pressing Z in order to catch a swarm I need to locate. I am in favour of being able to multi task in game. Overall: Swarms should be made more accessible via announcements or a separate chat (along with event legendary information if implemented). Pros: Players can make full use of swarms (the initial fun of attempting to figure them out and chase them has already occurred and now the method is simply frustrating - for me at least). If players are making full use of swarms it will also mean they're using Pokeballs/Great Balls/Ultra Balls. These are an expense in game that applies to most players, from a game mechanics standpoint I think it's best if players have ease of access to swarms so they can use the Pokeball money sink further. New players are aware of the mechanic in game Swarms are only twenty minutes long, and they're not an extremely high encounter rate, I don't dislike these factors but they make swarms difficult to be used efficiently with the current notification method, an announcement will make this a much better Cons: Easier to obtain a competitive Pokemon of the swarming species/makes the newly implemented Pokemon less rare (Baltoy/Gulpin). (I will argue that this inevitable on a long enough timeline and as it currently is it's too frustrating of a mechanic to endure, it either needs tweaking or this suggestion to occur) Can take away a degree of "fun" in some people's opinion. (I do not think they're currently fun, it's just frustrating for me now. I do believe it was a bit entertaining at first when the community was gathering swarm information but again it's just frustrating now imo) TL;DR: Put swarms in the announcements chat or a separate chat, they need a notification system now as checking the TVs etc is a poor long term mechanic, imo. Keep creating game mechanics that we can multi task with, please. Feel free to leave your feedback, if you think of further pros or cons I will gladly add them to the list.

Hiya I'm Bubbly!~ Nice to meet y'all reading this topic!~ I created this for people who want to start making signatures!~ It's a topic where sig makers help newbies make their very own sigs! Please help me by helping others!~ By posting helpful links tutorials and the likes here!~ <3 Tutorial 1: Adding shining text! [spoiler] (This took surprisingly long to make) Shining text tutorial!~ Step 1: So here we have our sig, with no animation edits at all!~ [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 2: Next we create a new layer, this layer must be 1 layer above the text, no more no less. Now we decide on what color we would like for the shine!~ I chose a grayish silver! Then we just paint a mark, it must be much bigger than the line of text, horizontally of course! make it sort of thing. [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 3: Now we add a clipping mask! Again make sure the clipping mask is exactly above the text layer you wish to make shine! [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 4: So now the paint you just did should look invisible! Wow! See for yourself, grab it with the cursor tool and pull it across the text, see? It's just low opacity! [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 5: Here comes the tricky part! Next we need to create an animation so we need to click the create frame animation button! it should be at the bottom of your photoshop page! [spoiler] No Picture needed here, you should have no trouble finding the button!~ it's pretty obvious!~ [/spoiler] Step 6: Now, grab your mark you painted for the text shine and put it just out of sight! then we need to make a new animation frame by click this little button in the top right corner of the animation timeline! Then we simply click on the new animation frame in the timeline and drag the mark you made for the shine over the text and to the very end of the text! [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 7: Then we need to click back onto the 1st animation frame and click that little button that looks like heaps of dots on the bottom of the timeline toolbar! It's right next to the next frame button which is next to the play button You should come up with an options menu asking you some options and what not! I normal set my frames to a slow speed like 30! (Note I add a few more frames to delay the text shine, do this by clicking on the first image and clicking the lots of dots button and adding some frames in there!) [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 8: Remember to press forever in the little menu in this picture to loop the shining textbefore you save your animation! Big text because it's important... [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 9: Remember to save it for web! don't do save as or a normal save, click "save for web" this way it'll save as a gif and there you should be able to check options such as the size, forum signatures are normally W500 by H200 Pixels!~ <3 AND WE'RE DONE!~ <3 GOOD JOB!~ I HOPE THIS HELPED!~ <3 And this is the end product!~ <3 [/spoiler] Tutorial 2: (Requested by MtheGod) Making a sig, from scratch. [spoiler] Making a sig, from scratch. Step 1: First we open Photoshop, then create a new image, we'll want to make it 500x200 pixels because that's the biggest size we can use for sigs!~ [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 2: Now that we have our blank image we want to unlock the first layer, so we can do what we want with it, do this by clicking that little lock on the layer in the layer menu to the right of the screen. [spoiler] No image needed here :/ [/spoiler] Step 3: Now find the images you need for the image, if your going to include a character find the character first and then a background image that fits in with the character (try to take into account art style and such) I'm doing this sig for HertzAhoi and he requested a shiny greninja so I'll be using this picture. Make sure the image will fit nicely though, overly large images may loose some quality through cropping, make sure to take your time cropping so you get it just right. [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 4: Now to crop the image, here's my end result of cropping, make sure you place the image in a spot on the sig that will leave plenty of space for text and your team name and whatever else you want in the image, to move the image over to the sig simply click and drag on it over to the sigs tab, then place it on the image. at the moment it may be a bit large or too small but fear not! It's time to crop! [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 5: Once you have fitted the image to the sig to suit your liking like so. [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 6: Then we add a background!~ Keep in mind the background as mentioned above should co exist with the colors, art style of the character in the sig, they don't have to match them, but they should at the very least make the sig look good, a good background frames the sig basically. Something like this and again you must crop it so it makes it look good, but it doesn't have to fit inside the sig, the background can be larger than the sig if you like, this may help with quality for larger backgrounds!~ <3 (I changed my character image halfway through background deciding, because it didn't fit with the background.) [spoiler] [/spoiler] Step 7: Now we have to choose a font!~ Make sure to choose something that looks nice and doesn't look out of place in the signature!~ There are some great sites to go font hunting online, personally I use http://www.dafont.com/ as it has a wideish range, I still find their a bit lacking though. I would like to be able to nickname / give a nametag to my pokemon that can't be seen by other people. This is just for helping me organise my pokemon in my box for when I am choosing a team to battle. As someone who doesnt like nicknames on pokemon something small to indicate which set it is would be helpful, considering some pokemon can have 4 or 5 different sets and are easy to mix up.For example, If i could put a tag on one Jolteon saying ice, on one saying grass and on another saying agility that would be very helpful. The reason I don't like giving nicknames that are visible to other players is because these nicknames and thus sets will be memorable to opponents. I like the clean real name look.
