  1. Ladies and gents, your favorite EV/Breed shop is back!

There is a special discount going for EV orders and my breeding shop has been updated. Please read the OP for all the updates.

I'll be sleeping now so feel free to flood my inbox with orders and I'll do my best as usual when I wake up.

I now have an alt (NanPotian) so you can send me orders to that alt as well. It is my shiny hunting alt so preferable I'd like my orders to go there but there is no pressure on you guys. Feel free to send it to either EricRasp or NanPotian.

    Cheers fam <3

Player profiles are already semi-existent here in the forums, so if one could have greater control over their profile page to pin certain pages or add a tab would be helpful.

For me there should be a clear distinction between the game and the forum. A forum is a place where game enthusiasts gather and discuss stuff about the game and create a community around the game. I'm pretty sure that majority of the players do not use the forums.

Edit: But there would need to be more specifics on the types of achievements one can get, what rewards for what action, and where to see all this.

This would fall on game devs. A section in the player profile can be dedicated to their completed achievements.

The achievement system would be able to revive the endless repetition based game-play. It would give people a reason to continue playing. We all know how much people like to flex.

I second this! Or...I guess it's third now, lol. We could also use Black/White 2's medal systems for part of the achievement system, among other things. Granted, some of the prerequisites might have to change and some medals may have to be added to accommodate for all of the regions involved, but it'd certainly be nice to have! It would also make life easier for people who run forum shops; they could advertise their shop in their personal message or something like that.

The end goal of that service suggestion is to have another section on GTL where your PokeMMO service is built into it. All services have review systems so that customers can know what they are getting into. Having your service on the forums limits your customer base by a lot! If it can exist on the game then literally anyone can see it.

However, that suggestion is for another time. We first need some progress on this suggestion :)

  4. It's pretty evident that the game suffers from a severe lack of content. To spice things up for a bit, I'd like to propose adding an achievement system.

Give players short/ long term goals with a reward system if they are able to meet them. Also give players cool badges for each achievement they complete so that they can show it off in their player profile. Now that is a nice segue to my second suggestion which is Player Profiles

The upside to having player profiles are numerous. People can advertise their ELO ranking, their completed achievements, their PokeMMO services with a redirect to their shop on the forum, a small description about themselves, mutual friend list if your friend looks at your profile, your affiliation (team), and so many more. These are just off the top of my head.

These QOL updates would definitely be welcome by majority of the player-base. If anyone else has any suggestions based on this topic, feel free to suggest them below. :)

    Cheers.

Great idea. But it need time, also we need 150+ members on team first,  if we wanna run 128 ppl tournament.

Not necessarily. We've seen LC tourney's with just 16 participants so I don't think numbers would be an issue.

I've had nothing but negative experiences when trying to create automated tournaments, so having yet another feature that requires staff approval/assistance is just a no from me. If you can work with them & find a middle ground that allows us to create automated tournaments completely on our own, I'd be up for it.

My initial idea was to let the team leadership have access to that feature but I realized that the devs might not be too thrilled about that. So, as a compromise, I suggested to let it be run in partnership with the staff.

Another idea would be to pick a select group of players and create a new role as 'Player tournament organizers'. They would ultimately be supervised by the staff but the fact that it is players who you have to be in contact with will make the line of communication easier. Kinda like a middleman. However, it sounds like a lot of work so I'm pretty sure this idea will never see the light of day.

  6. I understand that this idea cannot be implemented anytime soon, but I would like to plant a seed of thought in your minds.

The suggestion is to make Automated tournaments public. Now, what I mean is to allow team leaders to conduct tournaments for their team or maybe an inter-team scrimmage of sorts.

I believe that if this idea were real, we will see huge usage and help players have fun while learning about the ins and outs of pvp.

Now, I understand that this feature cannot just be made available. My other combined suggestion is to let team leaders book appointments with mods and co-host it alongside the mods or cms.

This way there will always be supervision so things can't go wrong. Of course, the team leader should send the prizes to the co-host mod/cm.

The main idea behind this suggestion is to improve the team experience and keep it fun for all involved. Official tournaments can be quite daunting and cutthroat which is why these kinds of unofficial tournaments could elevate the player experience.

    Cheers :)

Firstly,  a option to download battles would allow a term called "scouting" on a whole new level. ~ that's not going to happen.

Teams would have entire folders of hundreds of replays of one person. Yeah its a bad idea :D

A fast forward option would be nice imo. Personally, I want more stats like how much speed do I have if I'm scarfed or how stat changing moves affect out stats. Doing the calcs yourself is so 2000's. It's 2020 and we can do better.

    ALSO

    - We need a screen that show all pokemon status Name, LV, Sex, Nature, Iv's and Ev's. It's sux have to take 3 screens of each pokemon.

I have been thinking about this in a different light.

On phone, when you see the summary of a mon, there is a share button where you can share the current section of the summary to any media app on your phone.

I was thinking of adding that functionality to the PC client as well.

You know how in smogon when we export builds it comes out like this:

    Spoiler

    Abomasnow @ Choice Specs
    Timid Nature
    Ability: Snow Warning
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    - Blizzard
    - Giga Drain
    - Earth Power
    - Leaf Storm

It would be really helpful if we had a button in some corner of the summary section where we can export the details of the mon in a similar fashion and post it in any of the media sites that we use.

I think it would be a really neat feature. I should probably make this into its own suggestion page lol

  9. A little bit of advice if you want to continue with this venture. You have to understand your customer base first. People who buy breeds are often comp players. So, you have to breed mons in such a way that will appeal to their tastes.

For example: If you are breeding a Gible then you need to make sure that its main stats are 31 (Atk and Speed) while the rest need at least 25+ stats. This is the absolute basic.

Look at your exeggcute. It has 31 in its important stats but its SpD, Def and HP are not up to par. It is Modest but for some reason you have 28 in Atk which is an absolute waste. Instead you should have invested in the HP, Def and SpD stats and have made it 25+ so that it's at least qualified to sell.

The same thing is happening in your dratini as well.

    Good luck

  10. I don't see how we can make this viable. The margin of abuse is sky high here.

Anyone who is shiny hunting knows to be prepared. Have a false swipe mon, tons of your preferred ball, tons of leppas. Adding a craftable masterball will just add a twinge of laziness to the event of shiny catching which many might not like. .
