1. Maybe those people didn't appreciate the importance of Haze.
2. Using this analogy you couldn't ban Tyranitar from anywhere. Anyways, Rhydon is a bit problematic case. Rhydon primarily is a wallbreaker, not a sweeper due to its laughably low speed. The UU metagame is going slowly towards highly offensive (especially specially offensive) and in this metagame Rhydon cannot really do anything against them. Hidden Power Grass is oftentimes a go-to Hidden Power to pretty much any special attacker due to Quagsire as well as overall amazing coverage of it. Looking at the top used UUs more often than not they have a good coverage move on Rhydon. The biggest problem of Rhydon is that when it's facing something that is slower than Rhydon then something is gonna get faint unless some insane prediction. This may encourage of a speedy UU metagame. I guess you could argue this kind of an effect is more of "unhealthy" than Uber characteristics, I guess. But the way Rhydon punishes the slow Pokemon is just really something insane so despite Rhydon cannot sweep, it's still a really insane force to be dealt with.
3. I also want my team to constantly remember whose tyranny authoritah they need to respect.
On a serious note, just unnecessary by all means.
4. Unless they absolutely can't do this in order not being allowed to change the original concept like this then there is absolutely no reason why this shouldn't be implemented. The fact Nidorina and Nidoqueen are in undiscovered egg group must be either an error from the original game developers or they just seriously have some sick humor allowing only the first form to breed. Either way, definitely +1 to this because what we have currently just makes no damn sense at all from the original game.
5. I could argue there is multiple "OU" Pokemon which could probably even not entirely break the UU metagame if they were moved there. Doing exceptions like having P2 in the UU tier just because it's not broken but it's overused to "balance the metagame" and "have variety" would entirely negate the whole point of the tiers - which is to have as many Pokemon to have usage as possible.
6. Yeah, I need to agree there. Just because noobs call it mistakenly "OU, UU and NU" tournament (which implies to completely something else, like a mixed tier or tier shift tournament) it's no excuse to not call the format as the format it really is - which is 6v6 OU in this case. This is not just a thing "experienced players" use, it literally is THE way to call this kind of a format in all competitive Pokemon because in competitive Pokemon you are always allowed to use the tier below what the tournament format is.
7. ecks dee. ok u really got me. A defensive Uber doesn't need to wall alone everything, just a significant portion of the metagame and Dusclops just does that. The fixed 50 HP move shouldn't really underestimated at all, to be fair. Oh yeah, let's remember that Dusclops in fact can be a CM user itself so let's not completely negate its offensive presence but breaking Dusclops is just easily too meta centralizing.
8. Requesting a thread for Dusclops. Dusclops is something that I feel like fulfills the criteria of a Defensive Uber Characteristics. It's hard if not impossible to break from any given physical attacker in the tier barring Houndoom due to the move Will-O-Wisp and Pain Split to get all the HP back after Will-O-Wisped. Special offensive Pokemon will need usually set up to even a 3HKO a +252/252 Sp. Def Dusclops and since Dusclops has access to Haze this isn't a viable strategy either. Weather like Sunny Day Charizard or Rain Dance Omastar would be Dusclops, yes but that's a bit too situational to me. I think this calc pretty much gives you an overall look of the bulk of Dusclops. Calm max Sp. Def imo is the best set mainly due to Will-O-Wisp being able to cover enough from the physical side and there aren't Guts users in UU tier despite Swellow but it really has a limited movepool against Dusclops anyways. 252 SpA Manectric Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dusclops: 42-51 (28.5 - 34.6%) -- 98.7% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery Just.. look at this.
9. I have to agree it's probably better keep it out of NU but I just think it was unfair to completely not discuss it through. Edit: Let's not forget there are others stuff for Jynx as well but not a lot. Fire-types (Torkoal, Ninetales, Rapidash and Metang Pursuit traps it etc.) oh yeah Lovely Kiss lel get fucked Metang
10. Alright, now that we have probably one of the hardest counters to Jynx there is (Sneasel), Flareon checks it REALLY well and Misdreavus is also pretty viable check against it I think Jynx should be discussed through again.
11. Alright guise.. All these 6 pages are pretty much worthless now. Restart conversation
12. Well I'm just gonna start with the most obvious one. Gyarados. Just. Look at it. I'm aware Water-Dragon is probably the most OP typing there is defensively and with those base stats it would be a monster so that might be the reason why they didn't do that in Gen1 but just slightly toning the BST down and making it a Dragon-type would have been much more sense since well.. The "flying" type seems so random in so many ways when you look at it.
13. 14/10 on creativity on prize because HP Ice Gengar is a Doubles thing.
