a brief explanation of time. it's quiet simple people. time is the same for everyone under the same gravity and speed. events past at the same rate from a to b until you start fucking with gravity and speed. under extreme gravity time "slows" in relation to someone not under the effects of extreme gravity(and their is the whole being crushed thing but different story). even under small amounts of gravity their is time dilation. since we cant exactly escape all gravity, we can only theorize what would happen if their was no gravity, but one would assume time would move faster. speed is relative. we are moving currently at 1040 miles per hour rotating on the earth axis, 18.5 miles per second around the sun, and the entire solar system is moving at a unknown speed. since everything in space we can observe is moving, their is no fixed point to measure against. now the closer you move to the speed of light the slower times moves for you. to a outside observer it would appear you are moving in slow motion at speeds close to the speed of light. now you may ask, "if the faster we move the slower time moves, what would happen if we stopped moving?" and again we can only guess and point out the obvious "how do you know you arent moving when everything is moving?" now at this point you may be asking for your money back and yelling, THAT WASNT BRIEF! and i remind you that im unpaid and time is relative.
