    I have written my own strings for egg hunting and so far it works perfectly until I get to the dialogue windows after choosing the Pokeball.  I cannot for the life of me find the string ID for the windows that state:

    "MissSamus received the Egg from the Day-Care Man."

    Those are the last two dialogue windows and  I cannot find the string IDs for them.

    you need to go to settings -> utilities -> dump storyline strings and after that find the files there: \PokeMMO\dump\strings
    for kanto/hoenn you can just find the respective lines and add them to your strings en or whatever file and for the other regions you need to put the edited dump files in your strings folder. (or make new files with the same structure etc that only include your changes)
     

  3. you can go to esc -> settings -> utilities -> dump storyline strings and click "run utility". now go to your pokemmo folder and find the dumped files in PokeMMO\dump\strings. you should be able to edit the movenames in the IRB 0 file since thats where the game should be pulling most stuff from. just open it with a text editor of your choice and find the moves via search ctrl + f. the move names appear at multiple places so you gotta figure out for yourself what you need/want to change in detail.

    oh and make sure to move the dump file into your normal strings folder PokeMMO\data\strings, else nothing that you change in the file would matter at all. good luck with that i guess. i think it would be easier to find a rom in your language instead of translating it yourself tho.

    if you wanna change other dialogue: bpe is for hoenn and bpr is for kanto, you could actually put these changes into the strings en file or whatever language directly if you want to instead of moving the dump files. cpu 0 should be sinnoh, ipk 0 johto and irb 1 should be unova i think. youd have to put these files into the strings folder.

    the files also need to match the client language you are using, the language code it says at the top in the file and i think in the name too.

    tbh i didnt mess with this a lot in a while, so i hope i didnt miss anything.

    to me it seems to be the same speed as before, if i replace the gender question with a linebreak. but i didnt do any real testing since i dont really have any data to compare it to. i dont notice any delay myself atleast

    If this was intentional I need to ask why not just make strings a default option if it's about fairness. There is nothing more annoying to the player experience than spending 3 minutes slowly clicking through text bubbles on each berry plot while planting or being forced to sit through long text when trying to breed eggs on a charm. This will 100% kill the berry farming market (unless your a chinese bot xd) and peoples motivation to do difficult egg shunts.

     

    If devs really did plan to do this in the update I would expect some clarity on what's happening.

     

    i fixed this by just adding a bunch of linebreaks instead of leaving blank spaces (with \n) for stuff like the pokecenter healing, for the breeding/pc/leppa notification delay i had to remove the text completly and replace it with a linebreak too. dunno if there is a better fix because missing the gender check text is kinda annoying imo, but it seems to work fine if you completly remove it and put a linebreak.i didnt test anything with berries or other stuff but id assume the same thing would work there too, but id imagine having no text at all there would be annoying too.

  7. you pass the HA if the baby is the same species, aka the alpha mon is female + male breeder or male alpha + normal ditto or male alpha + normal female same species. pearl is only used to transfer HA if it would be more expensive to rebreed the pokemon instead of using the pearl, might still be smarter to repurpose the mon without HA or something
