Shards are used to teach pokemon certain moves that they can't normally (sometimes can) learn thru lvl up nor TMs/HMs. Blue Shards are farmed from Qwilfish, which usually spawn at night. But in Tanoby Ruins, they can spawn in the day too (in game time) And I just realized what happened about the Payday Meowth Thing. In the pokedex, Meowth has the move Pay Day as a lvl up move at lvl 30. But persian is at 18. Idk what the devs were thinking about doing that :P

1. For the Chan Problem, you can probably teach it thru shards, but each elemental punch is 5 blue shards so it might cost you. 2. For the Meowth Payday Problem, I'm not rlly sure
