  1. In the next patch we're making every Pokemon mono Normal Type and giving them the same number of stats all across the board. Their movepools will be altered so they can only learn Return and for variation they will only be able to hold a silk scarf or leftovers, we may remove Leftovers if they prove too powerful though.

    Wobbuffet

    Counter argument: Wobbuffet
  3. Gen 7 still has a 100 BP Earthquake.
  4. http://www.smogon.com/dex/sm/pokemon/volcarona/ First set. http://www.smogon.com/stats/2017-12/moveset/gen7ou-1695.txt 27% of Volcs use hp Ground at this elo range. http://www.smogon.com/stats/2017-12/moveset/gen7ou-1825.txt 33% use it at this range. I use these stats because in this meta weather was nerfed compared to gen5's weather wars in which Volc seemed to rather use HP Water to get a sick boost from rain and because gen6 had Talonflame which ruined Volc's day no matter what. In gen5 OU however 20% of Volcaronas run hp ground. http://www.smogon.com/stats/2017-12/moveset/gen5ou-1630.txt And 30% of them do at a higher elo. http://www.smogon.com/stats/2017-12/moveset/gen5ou-1760.txt However the lack of Heatran does in fact benefit Volc immensely here since it can run another hidden power to cover more ground (heh). But Volcarona not having true counters in a strict sense doesn't mean it's overpowered, specially since it has a lot of checks both offensive and defensive. I'll give it that it's a tad centralizing but it's both wallable and revenge killable by the right stuff. Here we're trying to do two things: To have as few Uber Pokemon as possible and to allow for as much diversity in team building as possible. 120 BP Outrage deters both. Like I said before not only is Outrage buffed from its gen5 incarnation due to confusion occurring 30% of the time instead of 50% but it essentially becomes a nuke that requires a bulky Steel to take, specially after a Dragon Dance/CB boost. This allows Dragon spam to become a thing, a very powerful and centralizing thing since you can tenderize the opponent's Steel types with a first Dragon and then proceed to set up and sweep with other Dragons. And the worst part is they can always predict with a fire move and nail said Steel type even harder or just have a Mag in the back to weaken or outright remove the Steel type. Keep in mind we're also counting on having Multiscale Dragonite in the future and since 90BP Outrage seems to have made Mence much more manageable, the original idea of taking Moxie away from it looks a tad bit silly right now and is being reconsidered. The reason is the MMO playerbase usually tends to gravitate towards bulky circlejerks of walls for some reason. This doesn't mean they are good, run a good stallbreaker or a dedicated wallbreaker, they don't need to be mixed. Bulk Up Thunderpunch Conk should beat most of them.
  5. That and the stupid Draco Meteor that I wish we could have nerfed slightly more, but sadly Gamefreak only provided with 130 BP or 140 BP That team so far explodes to Reuniclus, Hydreigon, Conkeldurr and with some skill Lucario (Just one, not all of them at once). PokeMMO players have always thought that Blissey/Chansey + fat physically defensive mons were the pinnacle of team building however that makes them extremely predictable with their switch ins, I never said Mantine was a hard counter though, I just said it could stall Volcarona too when jpshadow said it was impossible for it.
  6. OK sweety, PokeMMO hasn't followed official format rulesets or Smogon rules since like forever so like like certain stuff being allowed there doesn't affect MMO at all and like, we're missing a bunch of very punishing legendaries that would stop Outrage spam and we like were trying to keep some dragons outside of Uber. Since nobody seems to be complaining about Dragons getting easy sweeps I'd say the Outrage nerf has kept them balanced, don't you think so darling? Umm dear, PokeMMO always mixed future gen mechanics with current gen mechanics, powder moves stopped affecting Grass types ages ago, learnpools are usually updated to the newest gen and I'm like totally not listing dozens of other similar changes. Sigh caramel you're so sweet you're giving me diabetes! RNG adds nothing fun to the game and it was considered a healthy change to make. Noone besides you seems to have complained about it but also lowering the confusion rate indirectly buffs Outrage so chances are it's not getting 120 BP any time soon with these conditions, whoops! Ummm Heatran doesn't counter Volcarona, sweetheart, it dies to hp ground, Volcarona cannot outstall a Mantine that has toxic and if SR are up on one side with a Mantine around then they are likely on the other side as well meaning the hot bugg is like barely clinging to life ew. Milotic is kind of a good check not really a counter but like it can really ruin Volc's day with a Haze! There's plenty of checks listed in the OU discussion request thread, and you can always wait for Eviolite Chansey! Ummmm....honeybuns I'm sorry you cannot click The Button, but alas blame Gamefreak instead, they went waaaaay too crazy by making Outrage a 120 BP move! It was like so crazy that their fix was to add a whole new type that was immune to Dragon to stop them from tearing through teams apart too easily! Like 4drag2mag would be soooooooooo lame here and everyone would want mence and stuff banned, I hope you get it "honey".
  7. Thoughts on Porygon-Z everyone who plays UU?
  8. We survived ChanseyMMO, we can deal with this.
  9. Our experts predict that a shiny pentaperfect will be worth 3,5 PP Max in 5 months at this rate.
  10. would I be able to marry my pokemon too? haha just as a joke haha, it'd be pretty funny haha
  11. I support the idea of lowering crit chance since crits suck wee wee. Hopefully Gamefreak also guts flinch next gen so we can cull more wee wee suckage.
  12. 252+ Atk Choice Band Dragonite Outrage vs. 240 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth: 108-127 (52.6 - 61.9%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery 0 SpA Tangrowth Hidden Power Ice vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Dragonite: 116-140 (69.4 - 83.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 252+ Atk Choice Band Dragonite Outrage vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Rhyperior: 103-123 (46.6 - 55.6%) -- 71.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery 16 Atk Rhyperior Rock Blast (3 hits) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Dragonite: 126-150 (75.4 - 89.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Bold Milotic is actually pretty decent but yeah it's up to the user, it's still only 1 (one) thing that can wall current Hydreigon and even then it can lose to an appropriate set.
  13. Dragon+Fire is perfect coverage and hits anything in the metagame neutrally, this means Hydreigon (And any non-Haxorus dragon) can run any 2 moves it wants in its two other slots. Weavile is good but cannot reliably switch in on well anything, same with Scarf Cham who can only switch into a single Dragon Pulse and then go for a move in a metagame where Reuniclus is everywhere (Not to mention neither can't do much to Scarf Hydreigon). Like previously mentioned Blissey dies to Life Orb Superpower, any steel type would die to Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Milotic is the closest thing to a thing walling it but Stallbreaker set with Taunt also breaks past it (Albeit it's uncommmon) and depending on Milo's EV spread you may only need a hazard or two to break past it with lorb Dragon Pulse anyways. In any case no, not a lot walls it. Outrage was a problem in a metagame with those Pokemon mentioned and many more which were bigger pains, in MMO the confusion rate is 30% unlike in OG BW where it is 50% meaning it'd be even more spammable than it was. The only thing you listed that can reliably stay on most Outrages is Skarmory since it has Roost , everything else can be chipped down allowing for a second Outrage user to clean up and since Outrage is such a punishing move, luring these Pokemon in would be pretty easy, specially since otherwise you'd risk them dragon dancing till these counters do absolutely nothing.
  14. Oh yeah good point, I always forget that. The 30% chance of hitting yourself, on a move that was already pretty stupid with 50% chance of hitting yourself on a tier with more steel types that punished harder than our current steels like Jirachi and Heatran.
  15. Tutor move, the tutor isn't implemented yet though.
  16. The fact that Salamence/Haxorus/Dragonite are barely complained about (if complained about at all) compared to other threats like Reun, Volc, Conk, Hydreigon, and the trappers yet still remain noticeable threats, proves that keeping Outrage at 90 BP has made them balanced, so I doubt it's getting buffed any time soon. Sorry about that physical Kingdra that wouldn't really use Outrage to break past steel types in the first place. We're actually reconsidering adding Moxie Mence since after keeping Outrage nerfed it seems far more manageable.
  17. The world championship is a completely different format where doing Baton Pass chains is way harder. Also just because it's official it doesn't mean it's good.
  18. This is already the case as far as I know.
