  1. Chlorophyll Venusaur will definitely need to be looked into if Torkoal drops down to UU, especially once it's able to set up with Growth
  2. I asked a member of staff about this, and they said that due to some battle mechanics changing in the last update (can't remember the specifics), they said that the old tournament replays pre-latest update were unavailable to watch and it won't be coming back. I'll wait for someone to confirm this though.
  3. Best of luck for the future bro, was a pleasure meeting you back in the PkeL / RISE days You'll always be considered one of the greatest in this game
  4. Welcome to the gaming community, spoilt and self-entitled
  5. On your first point, yes some managers may dislike a player and vice versa, but a) The whole point of the event is to put personal feelings aside and focus on the player's skill and attitude and b) If they are unable to do that, there are 5 other managers who may want to pick the player. The behaviour of the manager can't be controlled and it's ultimately up to the host to decide on who would be the best managers for the event. On your second point, this isn't necessarily true. Of course some managers may have an idea of who they want based on previous form and experience, but there is still a chance that the players got drafted already, or someone can be a surprise pick. Remember there are unique formats unlike the traditional OU/UU/NU etc... so someone who may be very good at OU may not necessarily be good at Untiered. I still disagree with having a rejected team, but at the end of the day this event is more fun and gimmick so it probably doesn't really matter at the end of the day.
  6. There's pros and cons for having a team consisting of 'rejected players'. Pros The players who weren't drafted still have an opportunity to cause an upset during the event and increase their chances of being picked in one of the main teams during the next edition Cons In a sense you're basically rewarding failure. Although players will still need to be picked by the manager of the 'rejects' team, in a way it's showing complacency (e.g. Oh, I didn't get drafted but I know I'll still have a high chance of being able to play) Personally I wouldn't have a team of 'rejected' players - the people who didn't get picked should take note that they need to work harder and improve themselves as a player before signing up to one of these events.
  7. June's winner is HEARTEATERS Thank you to everyone who joined, it was a great turnout tonight! Bracket: https://challonge.com/5ge0f58n
  8. Like a few of the people commenting here, I was so excited to prepare for the anniversary event that I also prioritised it over my real-life responsibilities so much that I have now lost my job and failed my university degree. I tried to explain to my boss and lecturer that the devs kept delaying the event and that I wanted to play the anniversary event so badly, but they just responded to me to touch some grass. I couldn't comprehend what they said, as they clearly don't play this game and realise how significant the update was to all of us. But hey, it was worth it as I now have even more time to keep commenting on this thread bashing the developers & other people here and posting unfunny memes at the first opportunity I get. r/cringe
  9. I'm not sure who you are but you could not have phrased this any better, especially considering the deficiency of the OP.
  10. I can see the logic but honestly screw this game if they do that. It's fine economically for us older players, but for the more newer ones that's kind of a big F U considering the amount of Pokemon which will need to be reobtained because they're more optimal with HAs...
  11. This was over a week ago (sent to me by a friend)

  13. I doubt they will add this but please include as well: Thanks!
  14. This is the type of person who probably spams rain teams in every OU match - I've seen them in the official MMO Discord and they never listen to anybody's counter-arguments, they just like hearing the sound of their own voice. By their logic Starmie and Weavile should also be banned as they are faster and can 1 KO Garchomp, Hydreigon, Dragonite Gengar, Breloom, Mienshao, Reuniclus, etc... If anyone wants to hear more of this person's great advice feel free to check the competitive channel in the official MMO Discord:
  15. Let's be realistic, if they add regions like Johto players like you will only be active for a few weeks maximum and then will leave the game.
