And yet there are some people that say "ITS A MMO YOU HAVE TO FARM YOU HAVE TO PLAY 24/7 NON STOP FARMING, STOP COMPLAINING"

Matchmaking its an awesome feature, this is the kind of things that we need.. we need things that give meaning to the endless and mindless grindind that this game is.. not adding more senless grind.. 

And please just stop about the "economy" thing.. there are a lot of thing that we can sell, shards, dittos, pokes, tutor move items..  

Well, it would not be a pokemmo update if it wasn't a step forward and two steps back.

srs nobody has the time to keep checking the fking plants for 6 hours, would be fine if we can buy battle berrys with bp.

Why do you have to ruin such a wonderful PvP update. Ranked Matchmaking with seasonal rewards, automated tournaments.. so much wonderful stuff implemented in this update. We waited this for a long time.
 
... And you ruin it with something as tedious as berry farming. EVing, I can live with it. Move setting Pokemon with collecting shards and random items, I can live that as well. All with a goal to create a ready Pokemon that you can use to battle, to dominate the world! (or this community at least). Berries, however is just way over the top especially the ridiculously farm-needing way they have been implemented according to this thread. This is a consumable item you most likely will use one or more every battle you're gonna play. Unless, we're going use Leftovers just to save our economy and that obviously is detrimental to the metagame of PokeMMO. You're basically discouraging us to do the one thing you particularly used effort for in this update.
 
I want you to understand something. No one plays this game for farming. No one. Please prove me wrong.. I honestly want everyone to voice out in this thread if they actually play this game with a primary goal to farm. Why we play this game instead of some "spawn games" is the fact it gives a nice feeling when you used some effort to raise a competitive you're going to battle with. But having to farm just to maintain your ability to battle is too much.
 
I'm basically not feeling to join matchmaking, tournaments, anything because I want to save my berries for "important" occasions. You're discouraging all the wrong things now. If your past farming was getting some people to log in to play the game, this will not. Being discouraged to even use the things (comps) you've been using so much effort for isn't just the greatest idea to make this MMO better. Just my thoughts, have a wonderful day.

Implementation of a new berry system is a good idea as a merchant really does remove a feature from the game, however this is only true if the system has a few things bundled with it, In my opinion those things are:
 
Some form of tutorialization of how combinations work, and a way to receive hints. Not only that, but hints as to how to obtain "Very XXX Seeds", I've seen that on GTL etc but I have no idea how to get them, are they from high-end berries or just a lucky roll? I have no idea because there is 0 tutorialization for this feature making it painful to use and extremely daunting, probably to everyone. The feature is reasonable to use while continuing normal gameplay, 8+ hours for 2-3 berries seems insane, It has been mentioned that this was meant to be some form of passive feature that happens in the background to supply us with berries, A background feature should not require us to water it properly for 8+ hours, especially when apparently the berries we have no way of telling will grow from our non-tutorialized seed combos require different watering habits, Am i making it take longer? I don't know, how could I until I have waited 8 hours.  The feature has a way to easily get started into from the base level, It seems like this is meant to be a tier system, harvest low-level berries, combine seeds for high level berries, makes sense. The low level berries cost 30k on GTL, and the other alternatives are slowly renewable berries in berry forest or Pickup pokemon, Why can we not purchase from the flower girl the most basic berries in order to start the system? Obviously this was implemented with good intentions, however, Oran berries are 30k, based on how cheap the seed harvesting tools are I assume you expected us to be able to access berries in bulk, in short, I dont understand 3 things:
 
Why are low tier berries so inaccessible, high tier berries make sense but not the basics? Why does it take more than 1/4 of a real life day to receive 2-3 berries? Why is there no tutorial or hints in game helping us find out what on earth to do? Can we please, please, receive some info to give the community a kick start, It feels really frustrating for a shiny new feature to be added that is so unapparent how to use correctly for fairly basic needs, I feel like the feature has failed If i end up giving up after 8 hours to go and farm berry forest for pickups since that seems like a more reasonable way.
 
Edit; I understand this is quite an opinionated thread and you obviously, At least I hope it should be obvious, tested this before launch, however I have been trying my best to take care of some berry plants for over 9 hours now. I honestly feel really unhappy with this, I just want this to feel somewhat decent to do

The Dark Room -Flash can be used Multiple Transporters -which transporter WON’T take you back to the entry room? Boulder Puzzle -Mind your step! NOTE THAT THE TOSHLEY SPRITES ARE BOULDERS! Also note that you CANNOT cross the holes until all 3 holes are covered. Sandstorm [Rematch ONLY] -whilst traveling through the gym the second time for the rematch, you will notice a sandstorm has brewed (the sandstorm DOES carry through the fights just as it does in the desert in Hoenn)

Meet Astrid: A 19-year-old gym leader originating from Hoenn. Despite her family gym being fire-type, Astrid’s specialty is ground types. It mainly has to do with her sibling rivalry between her and her elder sister.
This was my first time doing pixel art and I’m pretty happy with the result :3
The first Astrid is the first match (obviously) and the second, more decked-out Astrid is the rematch. Astrid-rematch is ready for the sandstorm with her cape and goggles, are you??

If anyone knows me (and only VCO members really do v.v ), you'd know that I am a language junky. The Easter Egg in regards to the Trainer names will help you prepare for Astrid's rematch battle. It also explains why the trainers change from their trainer sprites to Pokemon. Allow me to explain:

The Pedestal

It's not exactly an easter egg but it is something that can easily be overlooked.
 
Upon entering the gym for the first time, there will be a pedestal in the dead centre of the room. When you interact with it, the following message pops up:
 
"There's writing on the pedestal. It's too eroded to make out any words."
 
AFTER defeating Astrid for the first time, if the player goes back to read the pedestal, the eroded words become the Journal Entries stated by the trainers within the gym. It tells the story of Astrid as she makes her way from Hoenn to Kanto and her first encounter with her Shiny Trapinch.

We will be holding this tournament TUESDAY (December 29) at 10pm GMT/5pm ET on Cinnabar Island on Channel 3.
 
 
 
The rules are pretty simple, only pokemon with either base 100 Att or SpAtt and higher are allowed.
ONE uber will be permitted per team. This is a 6v6 tournament in tournament mode.
PLEASE NOTE THIS RULE APPLIES TO THE UBER AS WELL.
 
 
To Register, just show up and wait for further instructions (most of the time we will ask you to say o/ but plz wait until we ask thanks ^^ )
