I think the better suggestion here is to allow Metronome Cup to be treated in a way that allows things to be scaled down.
 
That way we don't have to worry about illegal movesets and everything else mentioned above.

Winner of each match gets the loser's winnings + 50k. So the first round will be for 50k. 
The finalists will decide on how to divide the money for the 1st and 2nd place prizes before the match.
We want this tourney to be team exclusive but will make exceptions if necessary.

I am suggesting a "Rapid Fire Mode" or speed mode for PVP. If you played chess before, you'd probably know "bullet chess" variation which is generally a 3 minutes game with no or little time increments per turn. This additional option in PVP would be the same more or less, available for any tiers for some fast paced actions.
 
Pro: Fast game, reward quick thinking and action, hyper intense
 
Con: Not for slow thinkers or people with toasters for a computer
